  1. hope it is made strong enough to handle the power output of forced induction?! Is it safe? 7000 pounds - seems expensive, yet probably very amusing..
  2. The factory headunit has been a nightmare. 'This is the older style lower loading'. My personal experiences may not match your own, I am sorry if offened or discredited the Lexus name - It's called frustration. It has all been done now, works perfectly - the focals sound fantastic!
  3. Thanks Fargo, :D But international calls are expensive... Pity Lexus hasn't been such a sucess in France as it has been in UK! ;) I'll figure it out, with time...
  4. Dear ***, I am having a horrible time trying to fit an aftermarket audio system in my car. Downs: The front speakers were a pain to remove and we had to break them to replace them! The rear speakers were just as nasty, and the grilles are really sharp - be warned. Ups: The wiring was easy to pass through - thumbs up Lexus. The focal splits fit perfectly in the front and will sound great. OH HELL NO: The standard CD player is the biggest piece of ******* I have ever come across in a car.... Go figure where the power comes from because we had no readings from any standard cables when wanting to install my Alpine MP3 player.. Questions: What does the blue cable with the little 'M' do? Which colour cable powers the standard headunit? Why am I getting no power to my Alpine? Please don't tell me there is something I need to buy...please don't...I will loath Lexus!
  5. I have a noise aswell. My noise becomes apparent on a bumpy road. Almost sounds like something is not attached properly and its shakes and rattles... It's odd, because my body kit is not loose and the underneath of the car seems intact. I suspect something to do with the wheels or the brakes... My rear wheels really hate bad roads. The Lexus seems to get stuck in them momentarily, very frustrating as it doesn't happen to my friends' cars...is this RWD?
  6. So about the same in Euros - 230 or so, not sure on the exchange rate. I'll give it a whirl then. Thanks fellas.
  7. There is no problem fitting these head lights on an IS200, because I imagine the car must have some slight differences in the US being the IS300, perhaps slightly wider??
  8. RIGHT. Damn I wish I was still in Australia... Bless you Fidgets.
  9. I ordered one from Phil at SQPLUS. 45 pounds, haven't had a reply yet. I went through the whole summer without a snazzy headunit, subwoofer nor good spec speakers yet the standard installation still impressed many a girl :) Holla at me when you have the prices and pictures Mat, so that I can cancel my 45 pounder :P Where are you from Mat?
  10. Question: Where can I purchase the 'Demon eyes' kit for my IS200 in Europe? I am based in France. Cheers, Marc
  11. I am installing a 40CM focal subwoofer by the end of the month. I'll tell you if bass is better.
  12. Mine smells like poopilipoos too.. 'Nothing a little spray won't fix'
  13. Whazup? :yack: Yes same problem, but due to slight run in with a side gutter during road works. Had the car realligned, but still the two front tyres are getting there - Potenzas are expensive....
  14. Cheers for that. I presumed more preperation was needed, I think they have based their power output on that. All's well that ends well.
  15. Ok, will do - but still, no one on the forum with a chip has answered me. I have other purchase plans before these, but I will keep you posted. :mat:
