i bought the cheap mintex pads and unbranded disc off ebay about a year ago i think they were about £80 for the front and back , they are verry noisy when braking but for the money well worth it id say , ill be swaping them for better 1s next time as the misses doesnt like the noise but if ur on a budget they do the job

iv got a 2001 is200 sport 165k miles , iv had it for 6 years had a full lexus service history till i got it then iv done most the services my self, a few at local garage, iv had no major problems, rad was leaking slightly when i got it , and the water pump gave up at about 120k. cant belive the price they are going for now,

so is 10W40 SEMI-SYNTHETIC ENGINE OIL ACEA A3, B3, B4. API SL/CF no good for the is200 ? so confusing

im a after doing a service on my is200 its done 160k ! i was going to go for : Denso Iridium Power Spark Plug IK20 genuin air , oil filter im having problems getting the gear/diff oil (oilman's site is playing up for me) and i was thinking of using some 10w 40 oil its vauxhall oil i bought a few bottles for my other car http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-GM-VAUXHALL-10W-40-OIL-5LTR-X-4-PETROL-DIESEL-/300401241900?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45f14f2f2c its cheap but from main dealer is RRP of £26.00+ vat would this all be ok or would i be better going with other stuff ? and whats the highest mile is200 any ones seen ? wondering how much longer mine will last iv owned it for 6 years since it had 75k on the clocks and had no problems atall. thanks

yeah ill proberly replace for vented discs in nxt few months but i needed cambelt change and brakes at same time and was bit skint , last 1s i bought were only £150 for set and they lasted ages

i do mine by hand with a few detailing products ,snow foam in areas not near electrics and a product called citric bling everywere else

what garage do you use then m8 and were ? i havent lived around here long so dont really know any at all

another question . just had a quote 2 fit the brakes they said 2.5 hours sounds along time . im sure thats what i was quoted on a cambelt

so do you think the PERFORMANCE BRAKE DISCS AND EBC ULTIMAX PADS would be much better than the cheaper 1s ? thanks for the advice .. i dnt think the discs in the ebay listing are ebc just the pads . made me think that the performance disc bit just meant normal discs with grooves , im not to fussed on paying 100 more to have groves if they dnt actually make a diffrence im workin on a budget i need cam belt doing aswell :( any1 know a good garage in kent ?

for the last few months my is has been loosin coolant, it looks like its leakin from the back of the radiator i phoned around for some prices of rads and aparrently theres 2 diffrent sizes for my plate 16 or 22 i think and at £260 id prefer 2 put off getting one for the moment , i was wonderin if a bottle of k seal would do for a quick fix , i know my brother has used it on his vectra with a 3ltr engine conversion and it sorted it without any problems http://www.k-seal.co.uk/ any advice would be brilliant

iv looked my self but havent seen it coming from anywere it just does it everynow and again cant get out at lights 2 check it and when i have got home or were ever its stopped ....

iv got a 2001 is200 thats done 140k , it runs fine but iv noticed that a bit of smoke comes out from the grill, when im waiting at lights or a rounabout, its not loosing any coolant or oil.. any ideas ? thanks
