I wonder if this could be the same problem Toyota are suffering? In my case it was very unnerving, I had the foot off the accelerator and the car wanted to keep going. My wife was in the car at the time and asked, well shouted, 'what are you doing?'. I wasn't doing anything, I had to stamp on the brakes very hard, the ABS came on!!! This is quite worrying in light of the current situation. I assure you my foot was off the accelerator but the car was accelerating forward!
More or less exactly what happened to me

All this Toyota business in the news at the moment reminded me of this,

I once made enquires with a Toyota dealer that had a hire department.
They said they could supply all the current Lexus and Toyota models for hire, so maybe worth a ring around?

I would say a good 2-3 months too. It was one of those smalls that you thought you could taste.
I also did not block holes until all sign of rodents was gone, but unfortunately I have solid maple flooring in my front room which I also could not take up :(

The ST comes with Conti Sport2 from the factory and seem to work very well.
Loads of us are replacing with the Vreds and they are working great.

My father-in-law has a set of scales like in the pic below.
He uses them just to weigh luggage as he and the family travel alot.
Yesterday morning I took some family members to the airport to travel back to the USA, before we left we used the scales to make sure all four cases were no more than 22kg (the limit).
At the airport check-in scales all the bags were within +/- 0.2kg of 22kg.
So I guess they are pretty accurate?

I had exactly the same thing happen to my 2002 GS300 just before I sold it.
I was on a slip road coming up to a bend to enter a petrol station. The car didnt just push forward when I lifted off it went forward with full power and full revs. The brakes and me cutting the engine only just managed to stop the thing going off the road.
I shat myself big time.
As I was selling the car later that day I never did find out what happened.
Good luck.
