  1. Anyone know the part number for the laft box?
  2. Can you still buy that from lexus now? Would def need the other box too to the left as thats exactly where the filter is ? Thanks
  3. That does look amazing but so does the whole car. If i had a turbo or supercharger i would go all out and just buy that but i think even fabricating one sounds a little over the top for my setup. I just put the induction kit on for a little better sound few months ago. But completely forgot about cold feed at the time. The only reason i am bothering is because its probably sucking hot air into the engine making it a waste of time and the big metal pipe seems to get quite warm even after a 15min rest. Maybe i could still go with the idea but not use the lower hole next to the fog light. I noticed there is a hole around a few cm in diameter already in the plastic cover under the car. I could possible use that and water wont be sucked into it from the front of the car. I dont know how strong the thing sucks but would water be sucked up verticaly through that hole? Thanks
  4. I need to supply a cold feed to the induction kit as its getting very hot. The kit is a greddy one that goes across the back and down the side of the engine and the filter is located on the drivers side in the big space behind headlight. I cant see anywhere to fit the cold feed silicone hose apart from drilling a hole in the metal just behind the drivers light theres a flattish piece in front of the wheelarch. If i tap it it doesnt seem very thick or supportive and appears to be a big hollow space under it that would allow easy access to the back of the bumper so could use the hole thats next to fog light to source the cold air. Before my drill battery recharges and i go for it does Anyone know if i can go cutting a hole in this without any issues needs a circle of 75mm cutting? Thanks
  5. I basically have the 1st pic. The 2nd looks very nice but wouldnt have a clue of how to setup like that unless u just buy that box. I have ordered some silicone cold air feeds and a heat shield for now luckily the left side of the engine has tonnes of space to work in so should be able to mock something together to help keep out the heat. After reading an old thread i took the thick hood liner off too as it apparantly makes the induction kit a little louder but i cant tell. I guess a bit of the heat will be lost quicker without that too? Thanks
  6. O bugger i bet i bought that and i bought 2 of them (drunk+ebay) !!
  7. o bugger I think I may have actually bought the wrong thing. do the is200 have a lower strut brace in the A shape as standard as I may have just messed up and bought 2 of those? thanks,
  8. K thanks for that will go with one then to compliment lowering it. Penetrating fluid is that same as wd40 kinda or something different i should just buy? Never used it but i guess its just for old rusty bolts not snapping etc? Engine bay struts are they really just for show or do they actually stiffen anything same with boot strut or are they just a waste of money really ? Thanks
  9. Whats the script with these struts do they help handling much for general road use not track ? Am lowering this week so am considering one of these if any good to aid handling? Also is it something i could fit straight on as in do i use the bolts already under the car ? Thanks
  10. Wow hang on ! I am not a mechanic i just fitted the greddy induction kit for the sound knowing its got no performance gains but whats this hot air thing ? Thanks
  11. Yeah thats a good idea never thought of splitting them. I reckon thats probably best as i know the side windows will be a lot easier and i will finish those no probs then go mental at struggling on the rear window. should i buy the rear window tint or just let them supply and fit? I guess if its the same % shouldnt make a difference. Thanks
  12. It would be MUCH cheaper to buy the silicon bends and piping off ebay than say a fully made branded induction kit as i priced it up before i managed to get a greddy induction kit off a friend at a great price. It doesnt seem to add any power etc it just sounds nice when you give a bit extra on the accelerator and even better with a nice exhaust.
  13. Apart from superchargers and turbos according to many threads ive read too it looks like the is200 doesnt have many EASY engine mods for amature mechanics to go at. Ive done the induction kit and exhaust is on order but its just a case of saving £2k ish for the ultimate mod supercharger or buy an is300
  14. Anybody used the specificaly cut window tints of ebay rather than rolls are they any good? How hard is the rear window on an is200 to do ? Will try the heating on outside thing first. I have done a few tints before and did a spot on job after practice but only on hatchbacks so rear window wasnt an issue. I just want to go with a slight tint nothing dark limo just light smoke kinda like the standard tints on sports i think. Just dont fancy paying local shop pricing when they are so much cheaper diy. Thanks
  15. I saw an old group buy thread but couldnt find anything else on them online. Will just have to wait till some pop up on ebay or here Cheers
  16. Rising sun chrome dials is200 Any idea where i can get these seen old post on them but really want some ? Thanks
  17. Just a second thought on this have gone with 40mm drop but whilst i have the garage fit the springs next week is it worth them replacing anything else at the same time rubbers/polyurethane bits etc as when searching for the lowering springs other bits did pop up? I am right in thinking this is something i cant really do myself on my drive so am best paying a garage to do it yes ? Thanks
  18. Thats great will go with 40 then. My mate is a mechanic for lexus so will get him to do it and check shocks out for me. May even just buy new standard shocks if theyre cheap enough and swap them at the same time Thanks
  19. Because of the big gap on the rear was thinking 40 already was just worried if it dropped the front the same it might cause rubbing on the arch but if not then will order up some 40mm. The tyre wont be up in the arch on the rear though i hope as i dont want it "slammed" i just want it so as you can still see the whole tyre its just close to the arch curve. Cheers
  20. I am looking to purchase some springs next weekend for my is200. The rear seems to sit really high and has a big gap between top of tyre and arch. I have just put some nice new alloys on so want the car to look lower to suit them. I am unsure which to get as have seen both 35 and 40mm springs. Apart from 5mm height - if thats actually how they work ? Would both front and rear drop equally ( i guess so) as the front has no way near as much gap and doesnt look as bad and wouldnt want any rubbing. Oh yes wheels are still 17's with 215/45's on Thanks
  21. Luckily i found one very cheap and local so picked it up yesterday along with a new headlight bracket and the vvti engine cover. I had the oven on quite low to begin with as i was worried about melting it. It was only in there for 10mins but the lense part must of had some kind of reaction as one half just went white and went huge like a big pile of expanding foam?? But after many hours missing the 2 days of Sun we had i got the headlights done in black and installed angel eye rings too. I am very happy with result.
  22. Mid cooking my headlights to do the black headlight mod the drivers side light fell and melted against the oven wall not usable now so need another in the manchester area ASAP as i need the car for work on tuesday ? Obviously best price possible as i wasnt planning on this happening Thanks
  23. Why is jap starred out ? Because you are not allowed to use links to other sites. In line with the other clubs rules.
  24. Hopefully can install another software thing on it ?? Will have to google that. Luckily i know couple guys off ********** that have done similar in power button mod and unit wiring so hopefully get them to do it once unit delivered. To be honest rarely use sat nav so was just a perk having a screen in car
