  1. Ha! I changed my GS450H for an IS-F 18 months ago. They are chalk and cheese. Your 'old lady' will have no problem getting in and out of the car (my mum's 87 and does that just fine) but for her every bump in the road will be as a life-shortening earthquake. Run over a coin in the road and you know it. On the other hand for the slightly less aged the IS-F is pure joy to drive - every journey something to look forward to. I'm starting to think seriously about the 2011 model right now. i have a GS430,and was about to trade it in for a nissan GTR on a 10 plate, and as good as it sounds i found after driving it around for just half an hour,i found alot that the GS give you that you don't get in the sports cars i love the gtr to bits, but don't think i could live with it these cars ask to be driven hard, and thats the biggest problem the GS is not a sports car ,but not slow by any means the ISF cost too much for me ,in that the GTR is a much better car at the same cost ,and a much better drive but sadly for me ,they don;t do what i want in my car, until i find something that my GS does ,then that it for me, i'll drive it into the ground.
  2. under the driver side theres a reset button, start the car ,pess and hold until message comes up checking system. wait until it checks and resets it, take about 5 min ,if theres no problem but make sure the tyre pressures are the some check on the driver door for the pressures
  3. its a sad shame that a club of this size, don't have, and will not be at one of ,if not the biggest show in the UK ,the JAE
  4. sorry to hear the bad news ,think thats becoming part of life, depending on how bad it is ,there are moble repairs ,that come out to you and do it at your home ,at you won't see the damage , hope you get it sorted
  5. thats not true at all. as long as you use the same sensor on the rim ,you'll have no problems. the guys that do the tyres have to be careful not to damage the sensors , wheel and sensors can go on anyway you want...
  6. thats not true guys, those sensor are great if you know what to do i had the some problem ,and once i found out what to do ,i never had a problem the cost differ from dealer to dealer, i bought a set for just over 230 pounds ,for 4 ,and cost me 60pounds to have them programed into the car i've ask my dealer how much they cost and ,he came up with 80 pound each ,and thats with the fitting i had ATS move the to my new wheel ,and they were straight forward the thing is NOT TO OVER TIGHTEN THE SENSOR, EVERYTIME you remove them ,get a NEW sealing kit ,,which cost a 5 er per wheel do your home work on the sensors first , only uk,and euro car use the same sensors, so you'll find the e-bay one won't work as they mainly come from the US best thing to get ,is the GS work shop CD ,which i got off e-bay ,ITS GREAT with all the imfo
  7. the VSC light come on with the fuel system .which indicates the oxygen sensor, most time it the fuel cap thats loose or blockedhope this helps with your problem
  8. no mate ,they are not colour coded, they are programed into the car, once they are programed ,you just remove and fit into your new wheels.on any wheel
  9. you just can't fit the sensors as they need to be programed into the carthere is a number on the sensor ,which only the main dealer can
  10. Terry can you clarify your comments please, after you have read the other replys that i have made...above If i may, the club is not about one person or people,,,how did it get to this state, loc should have been rep at theJAE.BUT BECAUSE none wan't to eat humble pie ,******s it up for every one .what i'm say ,is that member got the short end of the the stick and who cares ,people pumped £25 POUND AND WHAT DID THE GET,THEN i read if u don't like it **** off,,YES I'M **** ***** :tsktsk: Why should the people who run the forum be there ? Facts are that last year neither Steve or Mat were there for the weekend so what difference does it make that they weren't there this year ? Barrie & I were there and in fact I spoke to you when we came over to the OJC stand and said hello on Friday evening. Johnboy was due to be there but as previously stated sadly he was in hospital having a life saving operation. There is no humble pie to be eaten fact is the reason Dave Read was the only one on the stand is because everyone else who had originally put their names down pulled out and went with another club and others were caught on the way in and told to park on OJC as it was the Lexus Club or that there was nobody on LOC so park up with us. To be honest I'm actually wondering why exactly you are getting on your high horse when you were never coming on LOC anyway ;) That takes the cake,,i've been to all, yes all the **** meeting, that were posted on the site, anyway i NOT going down that route, forget it ....and that all ,BYE

  12. Hi guys,, i was at the JAE,, HOPING TO SEE someone or anyone from the club and ,well every one knows what happened.i have no problems with that ,but where was the people that run the forum.they should have been there,so i think that they should be the ones to **** OFF,and get people in that can do the job,and not make statements like that.people have missed the point of a car club, and turned it into #### place to be.so my advise to people;TAKE YOUR FINGERS OUT YOUR DIRTY ******EN ASSES ,and do the job :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk:

  17. Well,,,where do I start? Just got back from Germany and if you thought last year was good... well this year was even better. A big thanks to Rainer, Simone, Oliver,Gert, Mario, Joerg and everyone who was involved in the entertaining. The nurburgring was great. I had a really good time and again thanks for a fantastic time.
  18. Well its time, and looking forward ,and having a good time.see u guys soon
  19. Yes,the fault is with the human, read the hand book,or come to a meet,,,,and learn something.the car is OK
  20. waiting for the sun to :tsktsk: ### and the #### to come in,sounds about right :duh:
  21. I looked into this too, there is an incredibly interesting thread on here regarding this but it just seems like too much trouble, the re-filling, the worrying about the standard of fittings, worry about reliability and popping a hole in the piston. I would end up being a paranoid GS owner. Also, for my tastes, there seems to be an awful lot of confusion as to which is the best system, I like tried and tested! I think I'll end up looking for a GS430 or a V300. Seems a lot less bother ;-) Go to the meets, talk to people, see what they have done, and maybe .....i say maybe ,,, We'll see another GS. :shutit:
  22. Thanks all,had a ,,,,,, good day ,but was a bit lonely, as the only GS owner AGAIN,,,,, but i had all the IS onwer to cry on any way,a big thank to Mrs Mole, for the cakes, and everyone just for being there, must do it again.cheers Terry B)
