  4. Shouldn't matter if it is UK or North American, Uk works on 11Khz banding and North American on 10Khz. Just means that sometimes maynot be able to lock onto the station for best reception. Take it to a dealer as the antenna system is a diversity antenna system on the Lexus, e.g. it has two aerials, one on the top of the roof and the other intergrated into the back windshield. Could be either of them playing up or both, e.g. feed into the back of the audio system is damaged.
  5. Been watching this site for a while, have decide to order th parts and build the circuit. Duncan I am interested in your soultion of Global opening / closing system. Any chance of getting some details from you on the overall system and how it is built and installed! Geoff, big it up to you on this, hope that Toyota take notice of this site and push on with incorporating these ideas into the cars system. Clive
  6. I have a 1999 V Reg IS200 SE, which I have just recently purchased from Lexus Newcastle with a 12 month warranty. The problem I have is that for the majority of the times I change from 2nd the 3rd gear I can feel what I believe to be the gear mesh hitting each other. I think that something could be up with the synchro, is this normal for the box on the car or has something gone wrong and I need to get it fixed under the warranty. Also does the sound system in the Lexus suffer from high Bass distortion? I think that one of my speakers may be damaged, rear pass one. Hope someone can help Cheers Clive Lincoln
  7. This is rear wheel drive vehicle response to wet and slippery conditions. Front wheel drive cars are better suited to this but where's the fun. Be careful!!!
