  1. All Please see following lionk if you are thinking of using this company for any wheel refurbs, you have been warned. http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic18251.html
  2. Maybe i am being cynical but did they actualy show you the pump was faulty as if what you say is correct after replacing what they say was the faulty part the fault still existed, not suprised they replaced the sensor FOC
  3. The problem is the connector to the air suspension pump and it breaks, there is a tech bulletin for this, i was told that they can investigate but if the connector breaks then it is a pump replacement. When this happened to me i took out an extended warranty at £800 and got them to replace under warranty hence saving me £500 and giving me 12 months additional warranty. :winky:
  4. Had Kumhos all weather great tread wear and excellent performance especially in winter when temperature is low, a few people slagged them off on here but the proof is in the using and i can say they are a lot better than the other brands mentioned above IMHO
  5. Reject the car and get trading standards involved would be my approach.
  6. Cheers James, it has the screen so I'll have a peek at the fuse box. How and where could I get a disc from if needed, any ideas? And thanks for the instant response by the way. If you need a disc i may be able to help i have latest genuine disc spare but will need to know what disc should be installed in your motor.
  7. If it is just the glass that needs replacing then get the dealer to do it i paid £140 for my passenger side and the dealer was only to happy to fit and it took less than a minute, also do not allow the fluid in the mirror to get on the paintwork it will stain it very badly put a plastic bag over it until replaced.
  8. Mine at 93K and same as others never failed MOT full service every time when due, Lexus will allow you to take extended warranty up to 140K or seven years old so they must also think they are solid, mine still drives like the day i bought it.
  9. Yes i also like the Q7 but having looked at them i found the pillar to be at a very low angle and i was cracking my nut whilst getting in and out
  10. After been in Lexus for some 5 years i am now seriously considering a change and i am looking at the Range Rover Sport HSE TDV6, i would be very interested to hear from anybody who has owned or just general opinion regarding moving away from the RX300 Thanks
  11. I have now had the strangest thing happen on 2 occasions over the last 12 months, i have gone to my car and used the key to open the doors in the normal way on inserting the key into the barrel and trying to turn nothing happens, it is as if the key is not the right key for the lock, get out lock the doors with it open the tailgate all fine and switched the intruder system of all fine, put the key in the barrel absolutely zilchagain will not physically turn in the ignition barrel, after leaving it in for 10 - 15 seconds whilst scratching my head or getting ready to call RAC take it out and try again bingo turns as normal and everything is fine, any body any ideas as to what may be happening. My thought is that one of the buttons may be getting pressed in my pocket and when inserted into the barrel not enough power to transmit the code into the immobiliser after a few seconds in the barrel it may have pulled enough power from the car (presumming it works like other systems) to send. Help
  12. Appears to have sorted itself out!!!!!, i know that there is an independant ECU for the air suspension control, maybe on its way out.
  13. Can anybody help me, the off light for the air suspension is constantly flashing and i cannot select high or low setting using the manual button, the level indicator remains in th N position, i have also noticed a clicking from the glove box area for about 5 seconds when i start the engine.
  14. Can anybody reccomend when in time or mileage MK2 RX300 cam belt should be changed. Thanks
  15. I have one for sale, Britax ISO used it for 12 months and in great condition. £120 new will accept a reasonable offer, PM me if interested.
  16. That sounds about right, i have noticed that when cold it is worse, how did you get the strips into position? Thanks
  17. I am sure this has been covered before so apologies but i could not find any links. Have had an intermmitent rattle from my dash for about 12 months, now starting to be constant, seems to be coming from the front area in front of the dash speaker, put your hand on it and it stops even very lite pressure, has anybody else experienced similar and more importantly does anybody have any suggestions to cure, it is really starting to bug me now :tsktsk: Thanks
  18. 26,000!!!! I will be more than happy with that and it is far more than i have ever had from Dunlop or Bridgestones, you should also be aware that as these ar all weather tyres therefore the rubber compound is slightly softer than standard tyres hence their better performance at lower tempretures / snow / ice.
  19. Great post and yes it worked for me and i have sat nav installed.
  20. Thank you all for your posts. Very thoughtful and insightful. The poster above also hits the nail on the head when he talks about UK buyers. I read somewhere that the RX hybrid is the fastest selling lexus in the UK. Yet no-one seems to have asked my question on any of the forums. There's more to this than meets the eye and personally I will err on the side of caution/discretion, and opt for another manufacturer. It's a shame. I really wanted a Lexus, but I would never be able to get into the car without a nagging doubt in the back of my mind, so my feeling is it's best to leave it. In researching on the web for an alternative large family estate car I also came across the EMF 'scandal' that recently rocked Volvo. So the V70 is out as well. My options are being rapidly reduced by the minute.... How did you go about selecting your mobile phone, TV and Microwave?
  21. Not sure what extra load or weight has to do with this but for peace of mind this model of tyre as explained by Kumho UK is specifically designed for all weather and SUV / 4 x 4 vehicles and fitted as standard to motors a lot heavier than the RX300, i will of course keep you all informed about performance.
  22. If the guy is using the word specialist surley he should have known this!!!!
  23. Yes European approved, in fact just found out recently that KIA and Hyundia fit these as standard supply on all UK 4 x 4's, had both Michelin and Dunlop and did not rate either but i will keep you informed on how these perform, however to date very impressed.
  24. Just had 4 Kumho Venture APT's fitted, did some research on line and very good reviews they are all weather and great response in recent snow, also excellent low road noise and only £83 a corner fitted and balanced.
