  1. Hi all Not been on here in a while but hope all is good with the LOC. Thinking of selling my beloved lexus but not sure how much I can expect to get for it in the current market. I may well be able to hang onto it but I am a little worried by the threat of redundancy so any help would be appreciated. The details are: Black IS200 Sport 53 Plate 50,000 miles FSH Styling Kit Black half leather interior Tinted windows (see my earlier post for pics) How much do you think it's worth??
  2. Hi All I've not been on for a while so i'm hoping all is well in the land of LOC. Just clipped another car and have smashed my passenger side wing mirror glass. Just wondered if anyone has one for sale or can point me in the right direction to get one (gonna call lexus tomorrow) Many thanks Dean
  3. Nice ride and just in time for summer!!
  4. Nice choice of wheel. I'm liking the black on black look. B) Gives me ideas hmmmm...............
  5. Funny you should ask but i am studying this at the moment on my way to becoming a solicitor so here are a few points that may be of some use: 1. Under current tax rates the first £300,000 of his estate will be exempt from tax (nil rate band). This figure will increase in the next financial year i forget how much to but i can look it up if you like. Gordon Brown set down the nil rate bands for the next few years already and the rate that is in effect when your uncle dies will apply. 2. If you make a gift to a person in your lifetime then it is exempt from inheritance tax if you survive for 7 years after the gift. 3. Everyone can make gifts using their annual exemption of up to £3,000 each tax year which will not be subject to inheritance / capital gains tax. If you have not used up the previous years annual exemption then you can use this too - so the maximum gift would be £6,000 this year if last years was not used and £3,000 for each year thereafter. 4. You can also make a gift 'in contemplation of marriage' which can also be tax exempt - I forget how much of the top of my head. He might want to consider setting up a trust which could help avoid some tax but i'm not going to go there as i will fry your brain and mine as its way 2 late on friday for trust talk. A simple thing i would suggest is him using his annual exemption each year to reduce his estate and thereby avoid the tax man getting his hands on 40% of the estate above the nil rate band (currently £300,000). Be careful if he decides to sell off some assets as the disposals may attract capital gains tax. These are just a couple of things off the top of my head which i hope helps but I would def advise independent legal advice to see if there are any more exeptions you can make use of. Wow and i thought this information would never be of any use to me!!! Hope this helps, any queries let me know and i will do my best to clarify. Deano
  6. I was toying with the idea of tinting the fronts to match the back but then thought if i'm gonna do it i'm gonna go all out!! Plus the back really needed to be a little darker to get that drug dealer look! lol Coz it looks good...and yes i have also done it to my sports.... i felt that the was not dark euff EDIT : you know what mine look just as dark as his.....oops....i an't been pull for that just the the blue side lights What % did you go for?? From inside you cannot really notice the tint too much 2 be honest. I figure if i get pulled i'll open up the sun roof to let more light into the car and jus say it came like this as standard....(oh yea and pray!)
  7. It is a 'proper' sport, they just tinted over the already tinted back glass so it keeps the backs slightly darker than the fronts. I think the picture is deceptive as its not really that dark, i'll try and take some more pics to show it in a better light......
  8. £190 cash after haggling like a champion :winky: :winky:
  9. They don't look that dark from all angles. Been past loads of police and they have not even batted an eyelid so far...... .....it's crazy i got pulled after having the car 1 week for no reason and now they have a reason to pull me and don't. I'm not complaining tho, let the good times roll B)
  10. Hello peeps I'm looking to refurb my rims in the near future but had the idea to get the middle part blacked out leaving the outer edge silver/chrome. Has anyone done this or is this even possible?? I really like the look of black cars with black rims and a chrome outline but dont really want to shell out for a whole new set of allows. I'm useless with photoshop and would appreciate your assistance. If my idea is not possible i'm open to suggestions as to what colour to refurb the rims - gunmetal etc.. Thanks for your help Deano PS heres a side pic of me motor to use:
