  1. take the switch out and clean or replace.. Il give it a go mate, cheers
  2. Right...after further inspection, still couldnt find anything wrong...Until yesterday, The rear drivers side door doesn't activate the interior light when opened, and all the rest do... So what can i do to sort it out??
  3. Yeaa suppose winter tyres might make a big difference
  4. Agreed!, i went to get some shopping and it took be about 10 minutes to get outta morrisons car park
  5. Cheers for that mate, il have a look when it eventually stops snowing
  6. Only about 6" here but its been going on most of the night, hasnt stopped yet!.....finally got to press my snow button
  7. Yeah interior lights come on when the doors are opened. Tried disconnecting the CD player last week for a couple of days but it still kept doing it. If the siren battery's in the boot it might be worth finding and checking it out, had a bit of a water leak in the boot a while ago after having my accident
  8. Had abit of a problem wid the alarm lately. Keeps going off randomly, sometimes about 5 minutes after i lock it, then maybe once every hour or 2 until i give up and just leave it unlocked. The other night I came home at 10pm, and it started going off at 2.30 in the morning. Happens at work, home, parents house. Basically everywhere I had a quick search on the forums and i tried almost everything - Closed the air vents, pressed lock twice to disarm the inside sensor, took all the shiny things out the way...errr, cant think of anything else at the moment I was thinking that it might of had something to do with the new CD player i fitted but cant find any wiring problems or anything wrong with it Anyone got any ideas or am i going to have to see an auto electrician? Cheers
  9. Don't worry, haven't got the money to buy it just yet because iv just bought the CD player and I got the other halfs mams 40th this weekend....so its gonna have to wait a week because i'll be needing some drink money and havent got a clue on gift ideas yet ... I've put it on my watch items list though put ill have another check next week incase a cheaper one gets listed, Cheers guys
  10. I think it's something like this you're after: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-is200-se-sport...%3A1|240%3A1318 The bad news though - is that it does involve a four figure price :( The good news - is that there's a decimal place in the middle of them though :D £1165 cheaper aswell :P . nice one!, i'll order one now.. cheers mate!
  11. Brilliant, so its not as bad as halfords and Lexus are making out then!. To be honest I was gonna come home and have a look on the forums before i went to see the main dealer because i knew id probably find an answer that doesnt involve 4 figure prices Cheers lads, il have a look on ebay now
  12. Had a bit of a hiccup... Got fed up of the 'error-1' message on the standard 6 CD changer so decided to buy a new JVC CD Player from a friend. After fitting the Facia adaptor I went to plug the CD player in...and oops, the plug wouldn't go into the back of it and id forgotten to buy the connection adaptor. So I went to halfords and the guy had a look at it and rang round a few people, he said they didn't make connection adaptors for my type of plug and car, and suggested I took a trip up the road to the Lexus dealer to see if they sold them. But Lexus said they don't do connection adaptors because they expect you to use their own CD player, and the only way I'll be able to get this wired in is by re-wiring it back from the amplifier behind the glove box. Which he offered to do for 1200 quid. Iv tried doing a forum search to see if anyones had the same problem before but it isn't working at the moment. Is there any cheap way of doing this or should i just forget about it and sell on the CD player and stick to standard??
  13. Isnt too bad in carlisle, they have all the unmarked cars parked next to all the patrol ones on the side of the road outside the station so you know which ones to look for .... But still...they change them all the time, so can never be too careful. Mate of mine passed a volvo the other day at 38mph and they got him. Had it on video and everything!, dont normally speed unless im finishing work at 5am or starting at that time, but dont like the way they're getting too smart <_<
  14. haha naaaa im not one of those types mate dont worry. Just the ex g.f lives on an old airfield thats all so just fancied goin round one day and having a go, No mates or anything involved
  15. Im gonna look like abit of a tool for asking this....but how exactly do you drift?, i got a new set of tyres to put on my car but i need to give the old budgets a good send off i got a perfect place to do it bt i just dont really fancy breaking my clutch or anythin when im experimenting with it just being a standard IS. Read something in a mag about keeping the revs up, putting it in 2nd then letting the clutch out when youv threw it into a corner but could do with some expert teaching
  16. mine seems to be pretty balls off the line against most things, suppose its just standard though, was pretty pleased to squeeze out just under 130mph.... Was on a private runway mind
  17. hmmmm put me down as a maybe, il av to check my finances nearer the time lol.. Could do wit meetin everyone for the first time :)
  18. Gutted mate, hope all goes well and it aint as bad as it looks. Good luck
  19. Yea iv used it once or twice....rain up here can get that bad i'm practically aqua-plaining home from work sometimes so tend to put it on when im rallying down my back roads, was never sure if it was actually doing anything though
