  3. i hope the crankshaft pulley is not the same as the timing belt pulley? cos my mechanic said my crankshaft pulley is damaged but assured me its not same as timming belt pulley, is this true? its the big pulley at the bottom of all the others,
  4. Some people call the crank pulley a drive pully,i would be carefull he does not mean flywheel!!!! it is common to have problems getting the crank pulley off when changing the cam belt, wounder if this has any thing to do with the situation? well the pulley is the biggest one right at the bottom, its actually shifted and is touching the fan, so it needs to be replaced i believe.
  5. hey guys i need to know if changing the crankshaft pulley is an easy job or shall i say tedious one? mine snapped and is touching the fan,
  6. hello people, i just bought a GS300, the seller told me that the bottom pulley was broken, he called it the drive pulley, now i was wondering is this the same as CRANKSHAFT PULLEY? Secondly will replacing this pulley be a expensive job?
  7. yeah thanks, i did it, works ok now.
  8. thanks a lot i found the footwell fuse box, but its a bit stiff, couldnt get it open, black head just keeps spinning, do i need any special tool?
  9. hey i just got this Lexus GS300, its a amazing car, only problem is that all of a sudden, the whole power in the centre console just dissapeared. i cant seem to understand why, i have checked all the fuses, they seem fine, but i found only 1 fuse box in the engine, does a GS 300 have only 1 fuse box or is there another 1 inside the car, cos i have looked and just couldnt find it, my local mechanic also checked he couldnt find it either. And secondly what could have caused this lost of power,? The indicators, wipers, horn, lights, windows are all fine. The problem is Stereo, a/c, heaters, cigarette lighter etc, infact everything in the centre console. Please i need help, dont want to go to Lexus dealer unless i have to.
