  1. Hello Lexus Owners Club, I'm back for more of your invaluable advice. I was on here a little while ago asking for help about my telescopic steering, which I haven't yet got around to fixing. I now have a more urgent problem. For reasons unbeknown, the adjuster in the headlight unit has popped out - directing the headlight beam skywards and I am now unable to reattach the adjuster. If anyone has any ideas, that would be great. Many thanks.
  2. I'd like to see that, it would be of use. I've sent you a private message.
  3. Hi, thanks for the advice, had a look on youtube but those videos only cover tilt and not telescopic. Tilt's working fine. Any suggestions? :) Thanks.
  4. Hello. I am having problems with the telescopic steering column adjustment on my '98 LS400. It doesn't operate on preset position or manual switch, I just hear a clicking noise from a solenoid. Any help would be much appreciated.
  5. The rear left hand cigarette stopped working while I was using the tyre inflator. It would be nice to have it working for an electric coolbox. As far as I can tell from the wiring diagram both rear lighters are on the same fuse. I can only find a fuse marked right rear lighter. There apparently isn't a fuse in the fuseboxes for the left rear lighter. The right rear fuse is ok. I am aware that the cigarette lighters only work with the engine running. Front and right rear work fine. Sounds a possibility, how do I remove the socket? I think it is the socket that has the fault since the lighter works in any other socket. But I can't find a fuse for it.
  6. Hi everyone. The rear left hand cigarette lighter on my 1998 LS400 doesn't work. I think I overloaded it by using a tyre inflator but cannot find a fuse for it. Any help appreciated. :D
  7. Hi everyone. I'm interested in buying a Sat Nav CD. I have a '98 LS400, would this be suitable? It's the 'Not for models with DVD systems CD only.' part I am querying. :) Any help appreciated!
  8. Thanks for the reply. I'm just a tad worried I'm going to break something and not be able to get them back on! Has anyone had to do this before and could explain it? If so, that would be great.
  9. I'm having some problems removing the lower plastic door panels on my '98 LS400. I have removed all visible nuts and I'm not sure if the remainder of the fixtures are clips or there are additional nuts on the inside of the door. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks. B)
  10. Wow, thanks! It did turn out to be the stop light bulb, that'll save me hours of investigating! Thanks again!
  11. My handbrake warning light remains on all the time even though the handbrake is fully released and the master cylinder fluid reservoir is fully topped up. I have a '98 LS400. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
