  1. Hi All, I have the IS 200 D and it seems to take a lifetime to heat up and I thought the front windscreen was heated. This also takes a lifetime to clear. Is anyone else having these issues? Cheers, Roger
  2. Hi Peeps, I have purchased a second hand Lexus from Motorpoint and notices on the drivers passenger side it has like little round indentations towards the bottom of the door. I have had the car in for a recall in the 5th injector and told them about the paint issue. They have replied saying that is has had a paint job done on it badly. How do I know if this is true or its from new? I have tried to locate the previous owner but it turned out to be a lease car from Sema Lease UK who then said that they leased it from Lexus Financial Servces. Can anyone give any advice on how I can get this rectified, Thank you all for any advice, Roger
  3. Hi, One thing on the 1st and 2nd slow gear start. I have had mine for 2 months and noticed this; my uncle has had is for a good two years and he says there is a fix for it. The ECU needs to be re-mapped. Mine goes in on Friday next week so I will let you all know the outcome. On the MPG I am only getting 34 and that is mainly around town and the tank is 31MPG but I also have a problem with it starting; sometimes when it starts it stops and then I have to give it some diesel. Hope this help, Roger
  4. Hi Mate, No I got it from Motorpoint; I also noticed one of the back tyres was bald so I got it replaced only to find it was pumped up with a can inflator and I had been driving around with it for 2 months. How much do you think it will cost and would the polish sort it properly; what I mean is will they re-appear after several washes. Thanks for you reply Roger the rule of thumb with sratches is,if you can feel them with your fingernail then they are too deep.if you can't,they will polish out.a professional mopping is likely to cost you abouy £150.careful washing is the way to avoid future scratches.visit polished bliss or detailing world for more advise. OK thanks mate, it is going in next friday for some repairs; seems to have no power when setting of and then it kicks in. I think this is a general problem and the ECU needs mapping.

  6. Hi All, I have purchased a second hand IS 220D which is 20 months old. It is metallic blue and I have noticed that the previous as? wh?le has put it through a car wash and it has loads of scratches all over. I have also noticed a lot of stone chips on the bonnet. Can anyone suggest how to remove them. I have tried T-Cut but it does not really get rid of them. Cheers for any advice, Roger
