  1. Pop into asda and pick up some bar keepers friend, I use this to clean my windows, then give them a quick going over with rainx.
  2. I have an after market stereo but my clock works as it should, try undoing the amp end of the cable starting the car a few times, then refit the cable with the car off, if that doesnt fix it try with the car ign on (acc).
  3. Sounds like you've not plugged it in all the way onto the amp! As for the mirrors and clock, there on different fuses, so doubt you've popped both but i'd just double check them all.
  4. I have the wifi style obd2 reader and dont get that prob. What obd2 app you using?
  5. In the pic you can see the two ends of the iso cable, one feeds your head unit sound and the other feeds it power. What head unit do you have that your trying to fit, does it not end in iso plugs? If it does then its just a case of connecting the males to the females.
  6. Hi, did your lead look the same as this? If it does the your power for your new head unit will be fed by one of the 2 ios ends, the other is for the speakers. if your lead did not look that this then thats where your problems lie.
  7. Ah ok, you need to update your info as i looked at t=your avatar and saw a is200, plus you state your car as a is200 se also lol...
  8. The is200 dosnt have a stock sub, it only has 2 6x9's in the rear deck.
  9. What most people that have the stock head unit and fitted an amp and sub have stole the speaker signal from the rear speakers in the rear deck, as you want to only have a sub then you only need to get the signal from one side and not both as subs are mono, feed that signal into the high input side of the amp (you could buy a converter but i wouldn't bother!) The wiring for the amp is straight forward, fused from the car battery and ground in the boot or where ever you plan to install the amp, remote to switch amp on would be the only one im not too sure of, but i know that the aerial does have a 12v feed to it but not to sure this is cut when tape or cd mode is in use, but i doubt its cut, its a black wire that plugs into the aerial behind the stock head unit. Hope that helps you some way to getting more bass in your boot, also remove the ski hatch from the boot side and flip down the arm rest to get more bass into the cabin!!! What type of sub and box you planning to use?
  10. When i first started to fit leds in my car i had the same thought of what wire to use, then when they turned up and i saw the feeble wire that was attached to then i was like "any wire i use would be better than that sh!tty stuff lol"!
  11. I used speaker wire that came with a set of sonys i bought about 8 years ago for all the leds in my lex!
  12. I'd get hids mate, 9006 for the main & front fogs, and 9005's for the high beam, from ebay and will cost you less than £40 posted. Easy to fit both sets could be fitted in less than 20 mins, passenger sides a bitch due to lack of space to get your hands in to do the main bulb but unclip the diag socket and push the neck of the window washer spout out of the way will help loads, also get some white 501 leds side lights also to make things match colour wise. As for dazzling on coming cars, i'd say no more than any other car the has them fitted. I have them in my fogs as well but never use them, but they are a good spare if i need a bulb or ballast asap as you have them with you lol. I have 5000k 35watt, which are white and do a great job.
  13. think you need to take it to an auto electrician to help you get all the lights working mate.
  14. Defo, we need someone to do a detailed pictured walk-through of how to change the switches from the std orange!!!!
  15. I have 5000k 35watt hids in both main beam and high (and front fogs) their awsome for driving down back roads and country lanes late at night, only down side is the warm up time, but once they've been on they warm up a lot quicker. I'd go for it mate at lest than £20 a set from ebay i bought a spare set for parts!
  16. grom were usless when i emailed them re: a prob i had with my iphone and grom. Turned out that the ios update had caused the prob, but the next update fixed it/ Same with my hands free parrot kit, update fixed the issue, so id say its a ios prob not grom.
  17. IS200's pass mots with HID's fitted to standard headlights. I have them in driving beam, high beam and front fogs also lol...
  18. My local tire fitting guy has a set of 4 that need a refurb and im picking them up for £40 no tires!
  19. The two wires are for the heated element part of the mirror, i'd tape them up till you get a replacement!
  20. First thing i'd do is get a new keyboard! LOL... Yeah check to see if the other ends plugged into the amp as thats where you get the power from. Where in Lancs are you?
  21. If they cut the old connections off to fit an aftermarket headunit, theres a god chance the standard one is goosed! Did they say it worked, i'd be more inclined to fit an after market one than re-attach the old connections and chance the standard headunit!
  22. Well stop bragging about them and get some pic's up of how you did them and the final product shots!!!
