  1. Ormi....many thanks for the advice. The sliders needed a good clean and lubricating. Once that was done all was well. Thanks to everyone for the replies.
  2. Thanks for the quick replys The caliper is a new one I just fitted the top part of the caliper. The bottom section seems ok. The sliders are working, definetly not stuck. I will give them a clean and grease though. Its just as if the brake has stuck on...the same effect as the old one I replaced! Cheers!
  3. Can anyone please help? I just replaced the nearside front caliper and put new pads in at the same time. Despite clamping off the brake pipes when replacing the caliper the pedel felt a bit spongy after. I bled the brake and the pedal felt fine. Problem is...the brake is jammed hard on! It seems like the new caliper won't retract. I checked the pads and they were fitted ok. Has anyone got any ideas? All suggestions gratefully received! Cheers!
  4. Thanks for the welcome everyone! Just to answer the questions. The car is Astral Black and we are just outside Aberdeen (feels like the tropics today, it won't last!
  5. Hello everyone Just bought a 2000 is200 SE with 67000 miles. I can't believe I have taken so long to "discover" Lexus. Superb build quality and drives like new. I plan on giving it a basic service at the weekend (dreading the oil filter change from what I have read!!). Forester
