Can anyone tell me if there is a quick and easy way of removing the old ones? Tried several times and had a look on the online manual and the Toyo site. I don't really want to inflict any more cuts or lose another slice of skin from my fingers. Thanks.

Cheers Gord. I'm going to be picking a lot of peoples brains for more info in the coming months. I've had loads of great advice in the past about the IS. I first joined the LOC in 03 when I got a new Plat Ice Sport. It lasted just over a year and was written off after a bad accident that I was lucky enough to walk away from,anyway thanks again for the welcome.

At last me and the IS are together again after I sold my black IS 200 Sport in November. I only had the car a matter of months and as the recession began to bite and me losing my job I had no other option other than to sell the car and gutted as I was to see the car go, it was a luxury I could not really afford or justify at the time. In to the new year and new opportunities arose and I started work again in a job that will provide long term employment and a regular wage, so I began to save for another IS 200 Sport. I worked on a budget of spending no more than 5k having forked out silly money last year for the previous car. After looking in all the usual places I found this... Overall,I'm delighted with the car, and the modding has begun with a set of 6k HIDs, a new rear spoiler ready to be painted and fitted and a whole load of other ideas that I want to do with this car. However there a few things that need to be sorted to get it back to pristine condition such as the alloys getting refurbed and the usual paint chips cleared up, also on both rear doors it looks as though someone has set about the window surround with a blunt object and caused a bit of damage as you can see in the pics. Is it possible to replace these parts individually or would this require two new rear doors? Anyway great to be back on the best Lexus site on the web

Astral Black. Although I had a Platinum Ice IS previously the black gives the car a certain edge, sinister maybe, but terrible to keep clean. Stunning when immaculate.

Just curious about this part. Is this factory fitted or added on and modified. I'm sure I was informed on LOC a while back that the TTE bumper did not have the washers fitted.

What plate was this available from? Is it from 03 or 04 onwards? just found an 02 plate with them fitted So are all of the variants fitted with the washer motors or only those with the specific bumpers?

Has anyone taken one apart? If so, how many led bulbs are in there and what size are they? Anyone ripped one apart more out of curiosity rather than frustration?

Why is this bumper not fitted with the headlight washer units? Anyone know? Feel as though Lexus have mugged those people who bought the sport styling kit by not supplying the washer units in order to fit a fancy bumper. I understand the bumpers are from TTE, however I'm sure they could have fitted them as per the spec bumper. Anyways no matter as they have moved onto the absolutely hideous 2nd generation. From an eye-catching sleek machine they have spawned a German clone. Tut tut Lexus!

When I unlock the boot,either using the key fob or the lever in the car it does not spring open. It remains closed although it is unlocked. Is this due to overuse or is there a problem with the boot mechanism?

Far too complicated. I'm quite handy with a roller and a tub of emulsion though.

That looks a bad one. Having your car written off is a bummer as it happened to me a while back. Pity about the car,but as long as you walked away and are fine then it's only a piece of tin. I'm sure me and Mr Wheelbrace would have had a few words for the ham shanker in the Merc. Speaking of wheels, I would put the good ones on the front before the assessors arrive. @ tunamgu. Thanks for the welcome to you both. It has the TTE rear skirt too. Did they ever make side skirts to complete the body kit? I dont think they did ..but dont quote me on it.....i believe they only done the full skirts ( side , rear, front ,back ) with the TRD styling kit...have a look around on a few websites or someone can give you a link to a site....and maybe you might see one that will go with the TTE ones you have. :) That would be great,thanks. Are there any LOC'ers in the East Yorks /N.Humberside area who could point me in the right direction for getting the alloys and bodywork sorted? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
