  1. Hi, Sorry about the long reply A big thank you to Parthiban & VrmmVrmm We gave the car in last week and Lexus said they would have a look on thursday. Thursday afternoon they rang saying everything was fixed. Luckily we had a few days left on the warrenty so it was all fixed under warrenty. They also sorted the steering rack and calipers. The car never had noise problem from the dash as people have experienced and we were worried but I am happy to say everything was put back to perfection and there still is on noise. Also lastly I hear Lexus Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester (I am from midlands) are good well you can throw Lexus Derby into the mix. They fixed the car as soon as they had space very welcoming and understanding and carried out checks for all known issues and I don't know if this is normal but the car went in on 3 quarters of a tank and Lexus took it out for about 20 miles (assuming it was being tested) and when it was received it had a full tank. Big up to all the members on this forum and Lexus Derby.
  2. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on what may have caused the VSC to go or if there are any ways to resolve the problem. My dad was driving back from work and all of a sudden he lost power couldn't go more than 5 mph and a warning light came up saying CHECK VSC. Any idea's how to resolve this or if its a common problem? if anyone has experienced this problem if you would could you please say how much it would cost to resolve?
  3. Thnx Stav, That will really help a lot. I think with the information you given me we should be able to make a decision. i'll put pics up if we get it thanx a lot (Y)
  4. Hi there, My brother is really interested in buying a Lexus IS200 but he's not sure which one to get. We have seen a Lexus IS200 Sport with aero kit but also seen a Lexus IS200 SE with the Aero Kit too. I was wondering if anyone could tell me which is better or what the difference is between them as in are the suspension stiffer on the sports and does it really make that much difference to Insurance. Also is there any difference between the 02 plate IS200 Sport and the 04 Plate IS200 SE like any updates. Any information will be highly valuable thank you very much :)
  5. Hi, I read alot about this DPS4 and i'm kinda interested by it i just wanted to know, what is it and what does it do? (sorry i know i sound like a noob but in my defense am just taking driving lessons n i don't really know much about cars) :P Thank you
  6. well my dad is 47 so he kinda fits the bill but my brother is 20 and he drives the car and i quote "he wouldn't want to drive anything else because its wicked". Now a jaguar is a ol' man's car lexus is just class but obviously you gotta be old enough to afford one and be out of the "boy racer" mind set.
  7. Hello Did you purchase your 220d from a Lexus dealer? If so you should have at least two keys/remotes. It says so on the Lexus website. Go to http://www.lexus.co.uk/used-cars/key-features.aspx and look in the "Vehicle Preparation and Valeting" section and the "outside" sub-section, top line. The dealer should have known about that, when I part exed my IS200 last year one of the first questions I was asked was "how many keys have you got?" Good luck! Hi no the car was not brought from the official Lexus dealer the guy we brought it from said he had lost the second key and would try to find it but he never did find it so potentially there is a key out there that can still open the car which is troubling as you can imagine. I'm just trying to find the fob online. As lexus said they would code it and even a lexus employee told me as we walked out that "don't buy it from here you can find it on ebay and we would code it" so was hoping someone might know where i may find a fob from? Please again for any help i would be truely grateful. P.S i found loads of US Spec fob but its virtually impossible to find a UK spec fob
  8. Hi, I'm new here we recently like 2 weeks ago brought a Lexus IS220d, very classy n nice i must admit but one thing troubled me that we only recieved one key. I want to get another key/fob but Lexus dealers are quoting £350. Is there any place other than dealers that i could get a fob from and get the dealer to code it? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
