  1. You may want to check with your insurers as some will require a full motor engineers report to confirm the vehicle is back in road worthy condition. I had a alot of clients who bought back Cat C and D salvage and I always said it was best to get it checked over properly.
  2. Morning all. Although not new to the club I have been back and forward on the site for some time. I have been using the last year deciding if Lexus was the right move for me. After chatting to some members at last years JAE I have decided that now is the right time to buy. I have decided to buy a Mkii GS300 and was looking for some advice. I am coming from Honda and I know my Honda's inside and out so I am kinder starting again. What do I need to be looking out for when I go to check out these cars? Are there certain issues that are common on the 300, certain areas that are prone to rust etc. Any advise woule be most appreciated.
  3. How about: 'Currently drive a 13 year old Civic, never broken down, hope the Lexus is going to be just as reliable'
  4. You could try some of this. I am sceptical about products until I tried this. I put this in my Civic and under normal driving conditions I was getting between 45 and 51 mpg (book 42 mpg). Its difficult to lay your hands on, but a small bottle is only £6, so even if you get no results, its only £6. http://www.prolong-uk.com/mpg/
  5. Thanks for the reply Ian. I appreciate the warm welcome from from the club. Ashley
  6. Hi Guys. Although not a Lexus owner (yet) I am a member of Civiclife. SSB refers to the colour (Honda Super Sonic Blue). We have 40 cars on our stand this year, so not massive. Most members are young as you would expect for the Honda craze, but are all passionate about the scene. Unlike most of the Civic crew I am not so young (only by name). I'm looking forward to being close the Lexus OC. I desperately want to move away from the hot hatches and into large executive cars. Perhaps some LOC members may be able to show me around a GS300 as this is my planed purchase. See you all there.
