  1. Hi, Had a search of the forum, but couldn't find anything. So looking for a little advice I always drive with my sound on full and over the time the screws that hold the speakers are coming loose (i can turn them around from under the boot), but i need to tighten them up.. How do i get the covers off the tops of the speakers to gain access to the screws? (Yes i know its a simple question) but i thought i'll ask before bending them and watching them going snap Thanks inadvance.Dude
  2. Ya, Story goes that i bought the missus a golf then she fancied a lex, as she had see them around town. I was just gonna blow 60k on a sl 55 merc, but i got her the lex (grey one). I drove it a few times and liked it so much i got a red one for myself. I did try the new m3 bmw - fast car - but the comfort isn't there like on the lex. So now i have two 1 red and one grey - although the grey one i gave to the missus and keep the red one. The only difference between them now is my car stinks.
  3. Nah, my cats can never be bad. http://www.probury.co.uk/tony/pics/ Heres some pictures of them and the cars also. Tony.
  4. Hi, Just like to share with everyone... Took the cat to the vets yesterday (yearly injections) and put her in the cage and then in the back seat. It rained like hell (really heavy storm) and while driving with the scared cat (loud rain noise) in the back of the car she escaped from my metal/plastic cage. Proceeded to peeeeeeee all over the back seat and i mean peeeeeee, loads of it then crapped on the seat too - nice little brown duggies everywhere. So i removed the back seat and cleaned everywhere - gonna buy a new back seat - rather than treat it all the time - but man driving to work this morning the car stinks - really hummmmms - cat pee is the worst. Rather me that you eh! Dude. PS: anyone else got a bad story - only had the car a year from new. :yack:
  5. So what we are saying is... Go to a breakers, buy a ripped out Sat nav with Cable LOOM (important), install it then maybe upgrade the thing to something like a IPAQ at 400 squid......... Total price looking about 800 or more... still cheaper that the factory fitted, but this ofcourse excludes fitting... Shame it doesn't come with the camera and tv :(
  6. Hi people, I bought a IS200se in March 2003 (red one) but they had only a few in the uk at this time. Car was shipped from Nottingham to London. None had Sat Nav but i needed the car as my last car (not a lexus ofcourse) died :) The dealer tells me that the sat nav only comes as factory fitted (ive not pressed them on the subject yet), but i'm wondering if i can get the full install to my car 3rd party? Looking for something like sat nav, tv + rear view camera? I've seen conversations about the IPAQ satnav as the best one to get firstly.... Am i asking too much or is there somewhere that will do it for me. I'm in london area by the way.
  7. Last month I bought the other half a new IS200 - but already its absolutely covered in horse hair and stable shavings all over the back seats? Has anyone found or know where to get seat covers for a lexus - waterproof perferably . I've tried halfords - which are fine for the front seats - but aren't good with the side airbags - but theres no seat covers i can find that cover the back seats :( Tony
