i bought my 2002 is200 se in aug 2007 with 58K on clock for £4200, just sold in aug 2008 with 72K on clock for £3600, i think i didnt lose out too much considering the amount a drove it not forgetting racing the **** out of it!!! (you might of seen my vid on youtube ;) lol) well i had my days with it and must admit it must be the best drive iv had so far and by far! now im on a passat tdi 150 bhp lots more torque and very economical :)

i used to get about 360 miles to a full tank (£70) now on my passat tdi 130 i get 600 with the same amount of fuel and no compromise on speed

damn obviously it will take less time to reach that kinda speed but there's me thinking the top speed will actually increase....not that you'd need that kinda speed lol

what is the top speed of an is200 tubo/super charged? anyone hit over 150 yet?

well what i mean is the IS seems way too sluggish for my liking....i get a better rush off the vti but obviously the IS has quality that the honda cant deliver! oh the roads on that vid seem familiar :winky: but who knows who was driving that IS, he must have balls of steel LOL

yes i noticed this too but i must admit im alot happier now that iv sold the car lol.......sorry but i wasnt happy with the car....performance was crap and fuel economy even worse but hey the comfort and style was something else!! never mind anyway im going to join you guys in the future hopefully after buying the the new is220D cuz them are in a world of their own.....must revert back to my honda civic vti-s and passat tdi for now.... take care fellas and hope you all the best!

You'll need the reader aswell matey to go with that cable? I use the new free full registered version of ProScan V5.4 software for my elm327, which i downloaded from the scantool website and works very well. It even does the fuel economy :) have you got a link or the serial for pro scan v5.4 pal? i cant find it anywhere

exactly the same as i have so you will be fine - if it doesnt work when you install it u will need to install usb/serial port software - i had to do this on XP and vista, i got it from microsoft where on Microsoft pal? i cant find the software, have you got the name or link please?..... iv just got the elm 327 cable and cant get it to work as the device does not get recognised! please help someone

it was just something that crossed my mind as they didnt bother making a diesel is200 and the standard is200 gives such low performance for a petrol engine anyway so thought it might be an idea......LPG is the way forward ;)

i know you cant modify a petrol engine to run on diesel but is there another engine that will fit direct in the is200 to make it run on diesel w2ithout too much modifications? this may be a project idea for someone or even myself ;)
