Hello there! Basically Im after your opinions as to what my I.S. is worth! Its on a W plate, 153,000 miles. S.E. sunroof, 18 inch wheels, part service history (though its had a new clutch last year, and new cam belt 2 years ago).silver ice metallic, half leather in good nick depsote the mileage! Cheers for any advice/opinions!

My clutch went in my is 200, recently. I got a clutch form Japarts for £150, local mechanic charger £120 to fit it. (it may have been £140 though! But I think he charger £120 labour!). Sorry I live in South Wales so cant advise anybody in Glasgow. The mechanic who did mine , is no Lexus specialist. So I imagine for most mechanics its relatively straightforward!

As title really! Im looking for clean (mine arent clean, and wont come clean!) cream front seat belts for my is 200. Thanks!

Just a little bump! In case anybody has something hanging around gathering dust! Also! If anybody has any (not black!) seatbelts or other interior bits in a good clean condition please?

I cant help you sorry! But! I'm looking for a cream interior/or parts! So if you manage to get your black interior, I would be interested in your old bits! Cheers!

hi,sadly i havent got 1 but my is 200 sport got written off and is in a breakers yard(autoparts), in raunds,wellingborough,check them out on the net and email them or give them a call. I phoned them up today. They said they didnt have any Lexus in. They said they had one in the Northampton yard, but when I phoned. he said he had one.............but he let it go with the seats still in! Cheers anyway!

I guess Im loath to phone them , cos every time I have phoned any breakers in the past! the prices for Lexus seems to be ridiculously high!!!! (eg. recently had an M.O.T. needed a new caliper, and some other stuff! breakers wanted anything form 50 to 120! honestly quid for a caliper! the mechanic doing my work got a new one for £90!) hi give them a try u can always say no or its too expensive cant u ? Every time Ive phoned a breakers, or gone on a site like 24/7 or similar, the parts quoted seem really high to me! I was recently looking for a brake caliper.I got prices from between £50 to £150? The mechanic doing my work got a new one for £90? How does that work? Im currently looking for replacement seats for my is200. Prices on e-bay and breakers Ive phoned are pathetic! No way Im gonna pay £300 ish for half leather seats which are only slightly better than what I already have!

Hello ! I have an is200 on a W . Im just posting in the vague hope, that somebody may have what Im looking for! Basically I have the cream half leather interior. The divers seat isnt in the best of nick! (ive cleaned it polished it etc!). The other seats arent as bad as the drivers seat though! So if anybody has either a set of cream seats! or even just the drivers or front 2 seats! at a reasonable price! Id be most grateful! Many thanks! p.s.I have looked on e-bay, but they want stupid money for seats which arent much better than mine are now!

Many thanks for the replies guys! I ended up getting replacement trailing arms from a breakers. The clutch is coming tomorrow from Japarts, the mechanic is ordering the calipers, and I ordered Mintex brake pads from the bay! Still going to work out quite expensive, but it has to be done! Thanks again!

Forgot to say! I can see the calipers for £115 front and £125 rear (new) on e-bay! The clutch as I say I can get from Japaprts for £150! The pads for front (mintex) £22 from e-bay! I want the car sorted, but obviously any money you guys can help me save will be much appreciated!

Hello! ...and help please! I took my car for the M.O.T. today..bad news! I need 2 calipers, the clutch is on its way out too!Im having trouble however with the trailing arm bushes for the front! My mechanic told me I need "trailing arm bushes front X 2!" Apparently though I cant buy the bushes themselves? Do I really need to buy 2 X trailing arms themselves? Ive phoned Japarts for the clutch, about £150. They can get the trailing arms (on order after 2 days!) for £113 each!. Ive been looking on e-bay for the trailing arms! I cant seem to find what Im looking for though! (probably cos Im not mechanically minded at all!) Ive seen "front stabiliser drop links?" and also"front lower ball joint set"! and lastly! front upper ball joint set!". Are either of the 3 above the same as "the trailing" arm itself please? Sorry for being so vague! As I say , apparently all I need are the two bushes themselves! but they arent listed anywhere! I asked Lexus and Jap arts , and they both said They arent sold seperately? So if anybody know where I can either buy the bushes themselves, or else what do I really need? ie trailing arm or front stabiliser link etc please?I ask because if I do have to buy more then the bushes themselves! the stabiliser links and joint kits are way cheaper than the £226 Ill have to pay for the parts from Jap arts! OK! Im a bit thick! lol! I found the switches! Dohhhh! The interior light will come on when you push the botton on the actual light itself, but it wont work via door opening? Ive pushed the door switches in manually, the interior light remains unlit, but the red lights on the actual door will go out? Ive already said Im useless with electrics! but! if the red lights come on.does this mean the switches are OK?. Could I (or my wife actually!) be really lucky and the interior light just needs re-setting or something? On saying all that ! Since I re-connected the battery , and pushed all the relays in tighter!! The headlights havent come back on (in maybe an hour!)?

My wifes car had got the dreaded headlights staying on problem! (is200 on a w plate). She informed me yesterday! As it was to dark to look about, I disconnected the battery. I just went out to connect the battery up. After doing so I noticed that when the car door was opened, the courtesy (is that what you call it! the "cabin!" light I mean!) light didnt come on?On reading previous posts, I have seen that some of the answers to this particular problem! have been down to this fault? Trouble is, its wet! and I dont even see the switch! (on cars Ive had before, there is just a "pin"? you can push in to make light work? All I saw just now (bearing in mind its pouring down! and I wasnt there for long!) were 2 black round plastic "grommet cover type things!". Am I missing the obvious please?. I f anybody has ideally pics or any info on locating/testing/removal/repair! of the switches Id be most grateful!!!! ps I posted yesterday as to the whereabouts of the headlight relay (got an answer its in the engine fuse box!) When I looked however I wasnt sure which one it was! as to me (who is extremely wary of anything electrical!) it wasnt marked very well? I "think!" though it is a big one marked head ?????? At least if I finf which relay to remove it will be easier than disconnecting the battery all the time! Many many thanks for any info or advice that you may be able to offer! ,

Hello, Please can somebody tell me where the headlight realy is located please? My wifes car has developed the "infamous!" lights on syndrome! The car........surprisingly enough! did have a new windscreen fitted a while ago too! On reading the many posts on this problem, I will tomorrow look at the fuses etc to look for any obvious signs of water ingress etc! I also noticed a few people have had to change the headlight relay too, so I want to be fore-warned! If it looks like the damage is caused by water ingress due to a poor seal to the windscreen, I think I will have to contact Autoscreen! Thanks in advance guys! ps car is on a W plate.is200
