Hi I have a 2003 Lexus SC430. The panel around the auto gearshift doesn’t light up, so in the dark I when I switch on the lights the gear stick panel doesn’t light up. I’m guessing that I need to change a bulb as this was an intermittent problem before and I could remedy it by smacking the panel, but this no longer works. Does anyone know how to remove the console? I can’t see any screws and I don’t want to start yanking at the console in case it snaps. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Saj

Hi Are you saying that the original data for the wheel alignment is correct and no other alterations need to be made? I was under the impression that the original data was set so that the tyres would point inwards, hence the excess wear on the inner edges. Regards Sajjap

Hi Guys You have a really good and informative forum, keep up the good work. I am now in the need for replacing my run flat tyres, yes they have worn really badly on the inner edges whereas the middle and outer edge look almost new!!! After having read the various threads on tyres, I’m going to change to normal tyres. Can someone please tell me, in very simple language, what the wheel alignment needs to be set to, caster, camber, toe etc? I need very simple language, because I live in Spain and I’ve then got to try to explain to the Spanish techi that what I want done is not what his computer is telling him. Best regards Saj

HI Shapa I was looking for some information and I came across your comments on this forum. Please help, I have recently imported a sc430 from the USA, I need to get the sat nav to work, I assumed that it was a simple case of replacing the American DVD with the European version, but I have been informed from various Lexus forums that this is not possible. Then I read your comments and I am very interested to know what exactly I need to do and please can you explain to someone like me who is a complete computer idiot. Also do you have any ideas on how to resolve a problem with the radio, it currently seeks in decimals of 0.2, therefore it seeks in 95.1, 95.3, 95.5 etc, so obviously I can’t pick up Capital radio on 95.8 etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am in London for 2 weeks and then I shall be returning to Spain. If you want we can meet and I can buy you a drink whilst you explain. Best Regards Saj

Hi Thanks for the info. I've sorted the radio. I need to know whether it's a matter or buying and repalcing my USA sat nav dvd for an European version, or whether there is more involved. Also, I think that the dvd tha i have removed is from the version 1, i raed somewhere in the US forum that you can upgrade to the current maps by purchasing a current DVD. Regards Sajjap

Hi Firstly I would like to say what a wonderful forum. I have just imported a sc430 from the USA, I would like help in sourcing a dvd for the sat nav, I live in Spain therefore it would be useful if the dvd has European or Spanish maps. Also, as the radio is American it doesn’t pick up all the stations, as the frequency doesn’t extend enough. Any help would be appreciated. Best regards Sajjap
