  1. My friends car (IS200 on a 01 Y) has the engine management light on with the TRC light flashing. Had a mechanic look at it and it brought up an issue with cylinder 5, he told me it was the coil pack. After doing some searching, and everyone else's post i went to Euro Car Parts and bought a new coil. I changed all the plugs and put the new coil in and reset the ECU by removing the 2 fuses, it starts but then dies as if the immobiliser kicks in. Repeated the 2 fuse process and still the same. I put the old coil back and it started fine, am i doing something wrong or am i right in thinking it could be the new coil that is faulty?
  2. Lol, i didnt look in to as much as i should have. I know the car will depreciate over time but what i should have explained clearly was as the tax is on the up is the depreciation going to bigger than anticipated??
  3. I I have only had my IS200 Sport for a month now and im thinking that i should get rid of it as the tax goes up next year to £300 and in 2010 to £400 and the car will depreciate alot over the next year or so......so confused!! What do you all reakon?
  4. Cheers Paul, glad you like them, but one thing it looks like my car has changed colour in your photo Staying away from the kerbs up to now but wait until Mrs Mole gets behind the wheel Ahh, kurbs....... i think i may be too late for that, wish the wheels had a wider profile!!! Damn you boys at Wheelmania!!!
  5. What tyre sizes are you running ? What wheel sizes/offset are you running ? Are your the plain Chrome ? Mr Moles have a kind of Dark Chrome effect in different light. Stunning wheels :D Its running on 215/35/19's which are far too thin and i dont think suit the car. They are 19x8 and i think the offset is ET42 but would have to check. They have like a diamond cut lip and aluminium effect centre which i think look really nice, need to lower it thi....hehe

  7. Was just about to start a new thread and i seen your car and the same wheels as mine!!! They do look nice, need to change the profile of my tyres tho!! Hope you like them ^_^
  8. Well, i think i will go with the double din unit and install it with a sub, amp and some components.
  9. Hi, Right, 'Error 1' message comes up on a top loading 6 disc changer model head unit and i am wondering is it goosed or can i repair it?
  10. Do you have to be a Gold member to start a page in the Registry??
  11. Is there any where on the LOC forum where you can post a log of your car so people can keep tabs and look at it from time to time?
  12. I strongly advise changinmg your belt at 60k, we have seen too many come in in a terrible condition if left any longer and known them to break before 100k. James When i spoke to Steve, he said that if i left it till about 80k (Mines at 75k) that the likely hood it could have snapped so its worth changing.
  13. Just got back from Charlesworth Motors in Glossop and what a great garage. He changed my cambelt and other 3 belts for £200. Steve (the owner) knows his stuff and has got a few LOC cars in there at the mo. Going to get my car serviced later in the month and possible get it lowered.
