if mine was in there I guess I could look forward to getting my stone chips fixed for free. I certainly would not expect to be paying for whatever work went on in there either!

....that said... they did have a bad rep for falling apart and the Bosch Mech FI was notoriously troublesome till tech advanced and they were able to set them up more easily. Handmade they may be, but back then they were still dodgy sheds for the most part. Still love em though. heart over head everytime! ;)

Dave, a £23,000 engine conversion (7.1 litre R.S. Williams conversion) is hardly a repair! nor £4k on running gear mods to cope with the power. That would be like saying an IS is a bad buy cos Si Skippy spent £25k+ on "repairs" Dave, were you on the wind up, young man?

wouldn't it be nice if people were brought up to respect their fellow human beings... ansd the trees and the rivers. Sometimes people are very unchristian about other peoples possessions... Shame on them. however, in the spirit of the Lord I think we must learn to forgive so that we can move on. ;)

I'm off for a tour of the newport pagnall factory in December to get a better feel for the AM V8 that I am after. loads of cars and nobody selling at me. nice and easy way to get familar with EXACTLY what I want. envy you being introduced to the brand before me, git! :P

will he be following up with the police? I know gun crime is said to be on the rise. I hope he is not traumatised by it. the delayed onset of Shock can be quite hard to deal with. there are specialist though. Tell you friend to make sure he avails himself of their expertise should he not feel himself at all. last time I had a gun pulled on me was is Turkey 1993 when I was to trunk to get off the pavement and back on the bar property. was a sobering experience alright! one that stays with you I dare say...

does sound like you have loosened a conection when refitting head unit. check all connectors behind unit. Do you have a multimeter (voltage checker) go round to see if power is getting to fuses if not then the problem is further back down wiring loom. not a genius with electrickery so hope Geoffers or someone can add to that. don't you have auto lighting on the IS? if so why not switch it on and never need to touch it again. Lights do all the work then when you need them and never need to worry if they are on. ;)
