My LPG fitter said a lot of problems some people get with LS400/430 LPG systems is simply down to too small a feed pipe from tank to engine, the fitters save moiney by fitting a 6mm pipe instead of a 8mm.

Smashed window, opened bonnet charged battery car works fine now just need a new window fitted.

I saw an aston martin DB7 with L plates once, that surprised me. My rigth mirror on my Mk4 LS400 doesn't move with the switch and occasionally dips for no reason, also doesn't demist left is fine. any ideas? door doesn't line up perfect with door frame/wing so i think it's had a minor knock at some point and possivly water is getting in somewhere?

yes i think you missed something. thanks for the search suggestion and the trickle charging bit but i can only find threads saying that works for LS430's not 400's.

thanks but i'm not going to claim for a pair of door locks it'll either write the car off or give me £5 after the exvess is paid i expect lol.

Even if you drill the door locks on a Mk3 LS400 they stil won't let you in...... bad news.... battery is flat so i can't get in using my remote. any ideas on how to access the car or get some juice into the battery so i can use the remote fob. PM if it's security related please. many thanks john P.S.Other good news is i have a Mki4 which i got for £920 :) taking ti for LPG tomorrow :)

i think the Jaguar XJ220 they found in TWR after it went bust is registered as an 03 plate dispite being made in 92 i think it was.

tow a light caravan with mine (1.1tonnes) watling engineering towbar fitted by mobile fitter £300 all in. It's a great twcar you really don't notice the load on the back without going up very steep roads.

I've never had a light come on with my install for whats its worth been on car for 33k now.

Fiat Panda mk1/2(the new 2003 one is a mk3) and Seat Marbella (same car). Group 1 very very cheap.

try to keep all 4 tyrs the same or the ABS can throw a wobbley and cut in when the brakes are workign normally and not locing up causing you to lose braking ability.

How much oil does it take to fill up the rear diff? My old diff sprung a leak so got a new one but it needs filling up as i asked for it to be draind before collection. Does the gearbox use same oil? Does anyone quantities and how much Lexus want for there oil(s)? do i need any kind of filter for Gearbox as well as the oil? Mk3 1995 LS400 many thanks

try to get sky to match adrian flux etc, switching to 3rd party can save a few bob too, i'm paying £290 TPFT on a LPG (+£100 fire excess) MK3 LS400 with a CAT 1 alarm with Sky, they give a discount for being a member of the owners vlub (not just GOLD).

how can you tell it's equipped? generally look for a towbar on the back then look around the gearbox?

sorry to go off topic, is a mk3 towbar easy to fit to a mk3? Heavy towing is defined as what? My post-1997 licence means i can only tow 1675kg roughly braked towing weight whilst the car says it can handle 2200kg (which i'm not allowed to tow without doing a B+E), so can i tow a 1600kg caravan without the oil cooler if i stick to 70mph max (what is the max speed on German autobhan's? I'm only allowed to do 60mph over here4 anyway). I'm plannnign on refreshing the gearboxes fluid and filter in next couple of months before i get a towbar/caravan anyway. Also does anyone know the costs for the transmisson cooler and how hard it is to fit? thanks :)

i have a rectangular diagnostics port under where engine cover was not sure if thats the car or my LPG system though.

an electronic sensor soemwhere i suspect, sounds like the engine is backing off the timing to stop knock, and there might not even be any knock. Or knackered HT lead/spark plug. Is it ok up to 60mph/100kph then suddenly seems like someones put a caravan on the back?

would it be easier to get behind the bump to do the wiring if you remove the headlights? i had to take out my front left the other day to attack my wing support with a hammer to get it back into the right shape after my mate stalled and rolled forwards into my car wasn't anywhere near as hard as i was expecting.

mines on 232k, it's on original shocks so far as i know and no problems, replaced front right spring last MOT, the only knock i have s the bump stops when the car is driuving down several of the horrible long gravel drveways/roads i have to do deliveries on.

If you get a good mk4 i'll gladdly swap it for my mk3 ;)

Would this be a battery problem rather then an alternator? thanks
