  3. your joking right........ you need a light to remind you, to put your seatbelt on and potentially stop you in a major accident impaling yourself on the steering wheel :shutit: lol, in a sense yes, i just forget sometimes, my old vectra, use to beep at me constantly ill i put it on, and on my old astra nothing at all, and theres been a feew time where ive driven for a while and then realised. Just the odd time i forget all about it, but eventually realise

  7. Hi, Just wondering on the IS200, the passenger seatbelt warning works, but I cant see one for the driver? where would the warning be located? on the dashboard? is so i think the last owner may have taken the bulb out. If this is the case, i want to put it back in, as i keep forgetting to put the seatbelt on and any warning is great. Thanks Saj
  8. Got mine done 45 for all round mintex and 30 quid fitting, so 75 pounds, but if i knew if was soo easy to fit, them woould have done them myself. the 45 mintext pads were from my local car shop
  9. Oright, I wanted to let everyone know of my experiance with the JML scracth remover. my is200 has a bad scratch on the rear bumper, got a quote for 115 pounds from a local bodyshop to repair it. Bought the JML product for 10 quid, from Wilkinson's, and guess what its done the job ! Its not perfect, but the majority of it has gone, well recommeded. Im going to wash my car tomorrow, as in work at the moment, and then get rid of all those annoying scractches around the car woudl defo recommend. will post pics when I get home. Saj
  10. Good Morning, I just bought bouhgt my IS200 99reg just over a week ago, when I bought it, it needed all brake pads changing, of which i got changed, also fitted brand new brake pad fitting kit which has been fitted. Now i seem to have a strange noise coming from the front driver side wheel. when i am moving along, seems like a knocking noise. Now there is sounds when I brake, but I belive this is due to new brake pads, but old discs. Please help Saj
  11. thank you very much, ive seen those on someis200, and i agree that look top class. considering.......................
  12. Welcome to LOC btw. Warranty on the wheels is 3 years...so no chance unless they've been replaced and have corroded in the last three years, which sounds unlikely. Wheels aren't covered under the bodywork warranty which (if it's similar to other manufacturers like Audi) means corrosion to the point of perforation, not just surface corrosion. thanks for the quick reply, all well worth a thought, what do you think is my best option, to get the set i own refurbed? i know there cost about 50 a piece, or a new set? I only prefer the original lexus ones, so aftermarket, im not into, after i kitted my astra which turned out to be a mess. Any advise welcomed
  13. Hi, New to the forum, and just bought a 99 T reg lexus is200 in Kensingon green. full lexus dealer history and with 108k miles, bought it for 2700, which in my opionion was no bad at all. A quic question, all 5 alloys are a mess, with flaking and corrosion, which according to his forum is nothing new. I know Lexus replaced alot under warranty, but with the car being almost 9 years old, I believe warranty is only 3 years on wheels? I've looked at the lexus warrenty booklet and it does not state that at all init, and all it states is corrosion to the bodywork, which is covered for 13 years no matter who the owner is? What do you think, is my chance of convincing that the wheels should be covered under this warranty? as in a way the wheels is part of the bodywork, or have I got no chance? Thanks Saj
