  1. Thank you Chris and Steve. I'll have a look at that diagram and see if it throws any light on the situation, and get one of those tools (thanks for the pic) when I get an opportunity. Phil
  2. Hi there, Has anyone got a high res photo of what is hidden by the hood insulation cover on an RX 450? I ask because I want to resolve a dribbly windshield washer problem. As it's only dribbly on one side, past threads suggest that the line into the washer is probably kinked, but the line seems to be behind the insulation. However the insulation board is quite thin so I don't want to damage it and it is held on with clips which are probably simple to remove but I'm not sure whether they are reusable. I don't want to go down this path if I'm not going to be able to resolve the problem this way. You can see I'm not an expert! Any advice is valued. Thanks, PB
  3. Thank you DandD and katabrontes - this is what I was looking for. I did do a search on the forum but my search words didn't bring up the items that you have referred to. Thank you for the letter and the explanation - difinitive answers after all. Regards, PB
  4. I have an RX 450 Premier, from 2013. I would like a difinitive answer as this seems to get asked about a lot but no-one ever gives a full explanation. So there are two questions: 1. Do I have to do anything to my headlights to adjust them from driving in the UK, to France? and, because I now believe the answer to the question above is 'No', 2. How come? What is it that is different from the past? Does the SatNav know I'm in France and adjusts automatically, or is the light no longer pointing to the roadside, or is it something else? Thanks for any answers, PB
  5. Thank you for that advice - I'm getting closer now. However, where are the other two bolts? I have found the two covered by caps at the far right and left, where are the other two? Are they hidden by padding? If so, how do you get it off without snapping tabs?
  6. Hi there, I bought my wife a bike, safe in the assumption that I would be able to carry it on the back of the car. Before you ask: No, it can't go on the roof as we go frequently via Eurotunnel, and it would be over the height limit. I contacted Lexus to buy the rear-mounted bike carrier - it's currently just shy of £300. That was a lot, but fair enough. However, it needs a tow-hitch, and this costs about £550 AND needs three hours installation at £118/hour, meaning to get my wifes bike on the back of my car would cost well into four figures! So I asked at a bike shop about one of those bike carriers that will go over the hatch. They sell them for about £70 but - on inspection of my car, they said the rear spoiler makes it impossible, as it is plastic and will break. Apparently the rear spoiler is reasonably easy to remove, and my (by now very familiar) bike experts said that if I could take the spoiler off, then the hatch mounted bike rack would work fine. So... can anyone tell me how to remove it. As a start, I have found the two hidden bolts which are on the inside of the car, behind caps, at the right and left end of the spoiler, but I can't find any bolts further in and I think there must be some. Also, I probably need to do something with the spoiler light. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks, PB
