  1. I wont be able to make it to this unfortunatly but will defo be going to trax n hopefully japshow finale.
  2. Right, strike that off the list....after doing some research I've discovered that they're a bit dodgy. Although they train u up there's no "guaranteed" job after it all. People who've done the training have been in n out of jobs with them like crazy and also a lot of people have walked out when its come to signing the contract with them due to how tight the contract is. look... http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cache:yJI4-...=clnk&gl=uk http://tomcat4.prospects.ac.uk:8080/forum/...opic.php?t=2814
  3. From what I know mate...I dont think so. I even thought that as well initially but they aint as even one of the teachers at my uni recommended them. Basically what they do is help graduates into work. They act like a middle man for all the big companies who need staff and basically they get all the students, analyse them, train them up, test em etc etc then u get contracted out to big companies but ur actually working for FDM kinda. I suppose its kinda an agency as well u could call it. Oh yeh, the training is free.
  4. I've updated my CV but in all honesty I think I need to do a fresh one from scratch so thats my aim at the moment.
  5. Personally I think I'd go for the red one due to it being cheaper but its entirely your choice but make sure u flush ur system out thoroughly before putting in the new coolant.
  6. As above...has anyone in the IT sector used the services of the FDM group? They're a massive company which train u up and then u gotta work for them for 2 years. I've passed the telephone interview and have been having lengthy conversations with them over the system and they now want to invite me for a proper interview but I dunno what to do. I cant decide on if I should go thru with it or not as the training in the networking pathway is in brighton but I dont really wanna relocate but then again the application support pathway is in manchester but then depending upon the client u could be working anywhere in the UK once u finished the training. Any advice/ tips would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Just had an email back..... "Lexus stopped using red coolant and replaced with pink in 2003 so it is possible that yours is one of the last to have red coolant in. The only difference between the 2 is that the pink lasts 10 years as you said. You can replace red with pink but you can't mix the 2. Also pink coolant can only be purchased in 5litre bottles where as with the red you can buy 1 litre top ups. The cost to replace the red coolant is £23.46 for 7 litres. Pink coolant is £56.14 for 10 litres. Hope this is of help."
  8. I've just sent alan at lexus bolton a quick email about the coolants to get confirmation about the new pink coolant and if its ok for use in the IS200. I've also asked him for the current prices including discount for both red and pink coolants. Will post up when he replies.
  9. whilst at uni the whole networking thing was quite vague tbh mate as they only teach the basics but while I was working as a techy for a while we did a full install in a school for example, we had to do all the wiring, 16 desktops, 18 laptops, wireless access points, sort the switches out, the server which was a windows 2003 based server but I didnt do much work with that. its been all sorts of stuff really but I could say that a lot of the stuff I've learnt has been self taught as well but also learnt quite a few things whilst working as a techy as I used to go to all sorts of companies to sort their problems out. as for the position itself mate, either or really, fully time would do me fine or even for a short period of time, either way both would be learning experiences.
  10. IT support n networking etc mate, thats what I concentrated on whilst doing my degree and thats where my experience stems from as well as it was support that I did previously.
  11. Just finished uni a couple of weeks ago and have got my graduation in july so I need a job but am struggling to find one so anyone whos working in IT able to recommend me? ;) I've got previous tech support experience so would be handy lol...I know its not exactly the sort of place to be asking for a job but if anyone can get in touch with me it would be much appreciated. Btw, I'm in manchester so anything around the manchester area/north west would do.
  12. Kam05, the core thickness of mine is the same as urs mate...16mm. I've been told the same that it doesnt make a difference. Lexus wanted £255 for the standard 26mm one! I've covered 5k miles already in my car since putting it on the road and had no issues with it. One issue I noticed with the rad tho is that it is offset slightly more to the right if looking from the front of the car IIRC compared to the standard rads so therefore the clamps at the top dont fit properly. I'm not sure exactly why this is but I'm guessing its the design of the rad itself as I pulled up the bodyshop about this and they showed me it was the rad itself as it only fits in some holes at the bottom so is therefore offset. Bit weird but otherwise I got no issues with it.
  13. Dont give up hope mate. I bought my car as a project, with it being a CAT D write off and well...I had a nightmare getting it on the road but finally did it and am enjoying it so much now. I've got a few bits n bobs which I still need to deal with but overall u'll be happy once u get it running ok. As for the radiator...go to www.discount-cooling.co.uk. I got mine from there for £125 and couldnt complain one little bit with the service of the company. IIRC the rad I got was an AVA cooling one which is a good quality rad and for the price I couldnt complain either.
  14. whats the deadline for this as I wanna go but cant say for sure yet....
  15. just out of interest which plugs were in ur engine that caused it to break mate?? where they meant for the IS200 or just totally wrong plugs?
  16. All u need now is some big chrome wheels ;)
  17. now what was that steven king movie again? lol
  18. woh thats cheap...how much did u pay steve? is there any certain quality to look out for?
  19. steve where did u get urs from mate and how much were they and what length are they?
  20. talking of tints, which are the best brands of film to go for as I remember someone mentioning the brands once as the better ones last longer etc
  21. Mine arrived early this morning :D Not had a chance to fit em yet as the car is filthy but will fit them when I've washed the car as then the glue will stick properly as well.
  22. can anyone do a part number search for it as he's stated the part number.
