  2. having seen an old thread,the clock stays on due a problem in the wiring which i know how to fix now,also should have the issue solved regarding the powering of the unit,just awaiting a play with his car

  4. On my friend's IS200,it seems that the new headunit is always powered live. I have fitted an amp by-pass lead,same as what I have in my GS300,however on his car,even with the ignition live off,the unit always has power and the only way to turn the power of to the unit is to disconnect the by-pass lead each time he turns the car off. I am right in saying that the yellow wire on the ISO is the permanent live,which keeps power to let it store memory etc,and the red is only live upon ignition? It's got me baffled. On a side note,his clock is now always illuminated now aswell,it never turns of,and he is having some battery drainage issues at times
  5. there are a number of causes for steering wobble : imbalanced tyres (get them done at a road force place,does them at higher speeds) worn out ball joints worn control arm bushes worn steering rack bushes loose steering rack worn discs after those are done and it's still wobbling,then it'll be the upper control arm's i'd say...

I have brought the Daizan steering rack bushes,and Control Arm bushes from them,and they took the monkey's getting them to me,with several e-mail sent from me stating that I will request my money back (paid by credit card for protection),and only then would i get a reply.. Regarding harshness,i don't think they're that bad on the CA bushes,the steering rack one's change the handling of the car,it's now so much more responsive!!

  8. Well,haven't posted much lately here,been over on clublexus browsing and buying bits here and there for my car.. Over the last few months,i've added some coilovers,front RCA's,Daizen steering rack bushes (got Daizen control arm bushes to fit),all of my ICE,and also got Junction Produce neack pads,HID kit,clear license plate lights etc Car was lowered alot before,had to bring it back up a bit as it was scraping everywhere and there was no way it'd get onto the ferry with it being that low! Had all service bits changed,and managed to get it's history from Lexus while getting a new key made,the car's had alot of money spent on it thats for sure! New ball joints on it aswell,cured the sterring wobble finally,it was so annoying before! Car's been amazing to drive,back of to Paris next weekend in it,get some more pictures of it around the effiel tower and elsewhere in paris for you look to have a look at
  9. got it working now,looked up some old threads and found the answer,which includes a hammer :D sorry no shoudl have said it's my friends IS200,which was blocking my GS300 on my driveway. from looking at previous threads it appears he will need a new ignition barrel,yes his old key which he lost turned fine,and so does this one,he put my GS key into his IS by mistake at first,think that might have jammed it up,but all sorted now thanks anyway for the reply :)
  10. any help please? my friend brought his car over to my house to change the head unit,we had to go out to get something from the shop,and now the key doesn't turn in the ignition? it's a spare master key,which isn't programmed to the car yet any idea's? it's also blocking in 3 other cars,mine included,so help please ;)

  13. its a 2001 model,and i can't remember if it is or not,but i'm going to take the battery out and charge it over night and see what happens tomorrow morning

Jump started another car off my GS wit the GS turned off and the ground lead came off the battery,after i re-connected it and try to start the car,i get the starter motor turning but nothing else,car was perfect before this not one problem,any ideas? only have valet key also,no master key thanks
