  1. Hey, did you get an answer to this question, as I would like to know too. Is there also a way of finding out what has been added to the updates before purchasing, so i know it is worth it or not?
  2. Have a search around posts on the satnav update and you'll save yourself 125 sheets pal any chance you can direct me to the correct thread mate. I've been looking for a couple of days and can't find anything. and cheers to everyone else for the advice
  3. Hey, just a quick Q. I have the an 06 IS 220d sport with the ML entertainment pack (which also includes the inbuilt sat nav).I have not updated the sat nav discs, so am assuming its the 2005-2006 version discs. I will be travelling to London quite often for a few months and just wanted to confirm whether the sat nav recognises the London Congestion Zone and will automatically re-route another route for me to drive to my destination. I don't want to sit in traffic for 45mins, only to realise then that it is taking me into the congestion zone! I could preview the route before i leave and check it against a map, but then that would defeat the point of a sat nav! And also, if it is an option you could change, would it be under the "avoid tolls" when choosing a destination? Another words, is the congestion charge considered a toll and/or recognised by the sat nav? I cant even compare it to google maps, as they have no option to avoid congestion charge! quite annoying. Any advice/help would be appreciated. Cheers, Ronesh
  4. Cheers, i appreciate directions to the link. Do you know if anyone has pictures of how they went about removing the seats though? or maybe a link to a youtube video. I'm just paranoid that i will break something, and then i will have hassle putting the seats back together. I would normally pay someone else to do it, but quite short of money at the moment!
  5. Hey, i have a Lexus IS220d Sport 06 plate, with the ML Audio system. Unfortunately, i have blown the subwoofer. I was hoping to replace it like-for-like, but I can't seem to find any information about ML's subwoofer or amp to see if any third party subs will suffice. I have my eyes on the 'Pioneer TS-WX11A Boxed Space Saving Sub' as it looks like the same dimensions as the ML sub, but as i cant find any dimensions, it is hard to know for sure. I know i can remove the seats to measure the sub myself, but was hoping if anyone had any specs to save me the hassle. Also, will this sub be able to connect to ML's own amp, or will i need to purchase an additional one? I'm sure these topics have been dicussed before in previous threads, but i can't seem to find them. So if anyone could post information/links to the threads on these points, it would be appreciated: 1)Where is the amp located? 2)Any specifications AND measurements of the ML Audio System (particulary its main large subwoofer and its amp. 3)A good walktrhough/guide on how to remove the back seats to access the subwoofer. 4)Any opinion you may have in my choice of Pioneer sub i would like to replace it with, and if also, it is possible to just replace the ML sub for this one, and connect to the factory installed amp. 5)How long you think all this will take to fix, and if you recommend getting it fixed by Lexus, or with a few friends help, it can be fixed between us? Cheers in advance for the help!
  6. cheers for the advice on who to contact. But if anyone else has some general advice on any of the questions i asked, that would be appreciated.
  7. Hey people, i have a Lexus IS220d Sport (06 plate) with the Mark Levinson Entertainment pack, but unfortunately the subwoofer is blown. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and how they corrected it. I got a quote from Lexus for £440 to fix it (i'm not willing to go that high). Does anyone know where i can order the part from myself, as I know a few friends who would be able to fit it themselves. The part number is P=LAD6160DWD80). I am reluctant to buy a third party subwoofer as i use the boot quite a bit, but if getting a huge box in the boot is the only option; would i still be able to use the mark levinson amp, or would i have to buy another one? Does anyone know where the ML amp is located and how easy it is to disconnect the sub wire and re-connect another one? But like i said, i mainly want to replace the sub like-for-like so does anyone knwo where i can buy one from independantly instead of going through Lexus and paying a premium? any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ronesh
