  1. heres a couple of pics mate, sorry not got any with em on clocks, they push on and are very sturdy, once on they dont come off easy (which is good) Will sell em for £20 plus postage
  2. as if sold the lex i have a set of these stainless dial surrounds available which are very rare, and also the grom audio adapter with the bluetooth handsfree add on. any one interested before they go on flea bay?
  3. yeh im not overly happy, but its just not big enough anymore, with baby number 2 on the way i need room. Pain in the arrse trying to sell the thing though!
  4. As im selling lex im seeling my grom seperate. Its the Grom audio adapter with Ipod/iphone cable ANd the additional Bluetooth hands free kit with mic, for iphone. you can charge and listen to ipod.iphone through car speakers, controlled by oem head unit. You can also use the bluetooth option to stream music to car stereo and use as handsfree car kit, £100
  5. anyone know the best place to sell our cars? i dont even wanna make what i know its worth, i just need enough to buy my new car so happy for it to go cheapish. Any advice would be great
  6. ok i took the wheel off, and took of caliper, the first caliper pin is fine, moves in and out easily and the rubber seal is in tack, the second pin in seazed in place and the seal is torn (assumed thats why its siezed), Reckon thats causing the knocking? I have tried with all my might for 2 hours to budge this pin with some heavy duty equiptment and its safe to say this pin aint moving! So if you reckon this is whats causing the issue i need to buy a new caliper holder? i dont want new pistons there fine, its just the bracket they fit on, can these easily be brought? any advise would be great
  7. Any ideas guys? last week a started to hear a knock when i broke, originally i thought something was sliding forward in the car when i broke but i have ruled that out, windows open it is definitely coming from front passenger wheel. I took wheel off had a look around, nothing seems odd. Now if started to hear and feel a constant knocking when im driving, not as loud as the brake knock but a definite fast rhythmic knock when driving. Any ideas?
  8. i dont think its the best to be honest, unless you have a new lex you wont have isofix, mine is 2001 and i dont, there are very few car seats that fit in the seats properly, they all have what they call buckle crunch which is unsafe. i have a recaro seat which seems ok but there is still slight buckle crunch. Def get s seat protector, especially if you have leather. as for the boot, i hope you have a small pram, we had a mamas n papas multi one and it was honestly like the krypton factor trying to get it in, took ages every time. now we the lil one is older and we have a lil buggy its fine, but before it was terrible, all shopping had to go on back seats
  9. hiya guys, i brought a is200 stereo off ebay for 99p, guy said it was err3. as i fixed mine before i thought if i could fix this one i could resell and make a tidy profit. Well, when opening the stereo i noticed the orange ribbon strip has snapped, i would imagine this is what is causing the stereo to not work. my question is, what is this thing actually called, can it be fixed, or can i buy a new one? see pics below Thanks in advance
  10. i tried your project lol and fried my iphone! i cut the car charger plug off and wired it to the ignition, not realising that as soon as i turned car on i sent 15 volts to the phone which i didnt like! forgot about the resistors in the charger plug! DOH Mine wouldnt skip tracks either but i have just updated iphone to os 4.3 and it works fine,
  11. yeh i removed the pillar closest to windscreen, easy to pop off, and then pop off the rearview mirror cover, you will need to then unscrew the mirror but very easy. then its really easy poke the mic though the roof trim and our the mirror hole. then when you pull it tight the cable just slips under where the roof trim meets the windscreen and slides right back to the middle of the roof. then just tuck it behind the other cables in the pillar and put cover back on! really simple. Does that make sense lol
  12. So just for those that are interested, here is where i mounted the mic: This is where i dock the phone: LOVE IT
  13. i love it, best purchase ever, im amazed how flawless the system is! Um music quality, tough call really. Id say it is noticable but not so much in a bad way. When its docked it sounds like CD quality, when its bluetooth, the quality is great, just sounds like a very very slight bit distant. if i hadnt compared the two i dont think i would of noticed.
  14. its ok i've sorted it now, it was the ipod on my iphone. so when i got in the car it connected auto by bluetooth but if i wanted to listen to music i had to manually start and manually skip on the ihone itself. Calls worked fine. Apparently all recent versions of the iphone didnt allow track skipping via bluetooth, not just grom but any bluetooth device, just pause. But the recent update fixed it so i updated iphone and now works fine. The only thing now is that when in bluetooth mode i still have to actually start playing music on the iphone to start it off, so after i initially press play on the iphone i can then put it away. Is that the same as your nokia? does it play automatically or do you have to press play on the phone first and then use there stereo to control tracks? All said though the system is fantastic! call quality is amazing, very loud and everyone i spoke to says clarity is amazing! and bluetooth streaming music quality is also amazing. Very impressed! Ill put a picture of where i mounted the speaker. I threaded it though the roof and its mounted in the middle pokeing out the rear view mirror. looks really neat!
  15. need help lol, i have mine now installed. when my iphone is connected to the cable everything works fine, when its just in bluetooth mode it works ok but i cant select tracks using the stereo, its all manual from the ipod, which is a bit of a pain really. have you tired yours yet?
  16. got it! aperture high, shutter speed low! ok lol. i only just got my camera so still learning all the bits!
  17. So gonna do that later! Just started photography and thats an amazing feature!!
  18. maybe they have worked the bugs out the, 3/4 years ago when grom was first brought out, a number of members on here brought them and it came to light that they didnt work with bottom loaders. Looks like they resolved the issues then, happy days
  19. sorry matey but you cant just plug n play, you'll only be able to replace with the same version. unless your really lucky and find a working bottom loader you have no choice but to get an aftermarket unit as the grom doesnt work with the bottom loaders
  20. and this is how it looked after it was done properly, sorry poor picture, i should of turned flash off!
  21. i definitely advise to buy a proken ac unit off ebay for couple quid to practice on, see my picture below, these were the brightest leds available, 6 in 1 and you can see how little light they give off.
  22. never had an auto before, drove a few and i cant say i was too fussed, i had a new auto jag as a courtesy car once and after a bit of getting used to i have to say i loved it
  23. to be honest, unless your happy to do a little soldering, you wont get a nice spread on the air con. many bulbs have been tried and they all look so so dull in the air con, a few members have soldered multiple leds around the ring inside the unit and it looks fab, very tough to do though. I tried and ruined 3 air con units before getting it right, so i definitely recommend you practice on a broken ac unit
