  1. The EU Court overturned those tax increases a year or so ago. Retrospective tax increases are illegal, Brown and Co. tried it and failed. There have been a few threads like this already.
  2. No there are no more sensors/holes on the CAT back replacement just bolt it into place.
  3. Get an OEM one. pattern part thermostats have been known to jam open.
  4. There aren't that many cars in the 4K region as good as the IS200.
  5. For the sake of 8 days I would have thought they would be able to come to some sort of arrangement.
  6. The front input shaft bearing can wear, and can be replaced simply - take it to a good gearbox place and get a quote. Otherwise e-bay is a good source of 'boxes and don't pay more than £350.
  7. Low end Alpine stuff isn't worth the swap mate, the quality isn't what it used to be, Halfords are very expensive for ICE......
  8. Pristine Wheels - Milton Keynes. Simply the best there is. You can post your wheels there, or if you go in oerson they can lend you a set while yours are being fixed.
  9. Tyre cleaner works wonders on the engine bay, and safer than a jet wash!!
  10. No cats on mine, but I don't have to worry that much about the emissions :D
  11. Nice pub that one!! Might go, but will see closer to the day.
  12. I have to go with Dave1 100%, tyres are NOT something to skimp on, I know when mine need replacing as I check them monthly and budget accordingly, at 2mm left I change them and do both sides at the same time. Continental Sport Contacts all round on mine - superb tyres. I wouldn't buy a car with budget tyres on it - shows the car isn't looked after as it should be IMHO.
  13. A topic that has been covered MANY times, just use the search function.
  14. You don't need one on your car mate, all you will do is cool your oil to much and it may not reach operating temp. You could just put an intercooler in place, and leave the piped blanked off......
  15. Meile Cat and Dog model is FANTASTIC!! I have had mine for years and can't fault it. Which? magazine rate it tops, and slate the Dyson nuf said, they also say there is NO correlation between bags or no bags in regard to loss of suction in top brands.
  16. To rip your aerial right off would have taken a serious amount of effort - has your roof been damaged, its not the thickest metal out there.
  17. Which engine? Either way you will probably need an O2 simulator. You should get a BHP gain, you will get a louder exhaust :P MPG may be affected but not much.
  18. Yea TTE chargers don't make a slow car all that fast, very overrated and overpriced.
  19. mine stays in my pocket and auto connects to the Nokia bluetooth car kit.
  20. The auto Altezza RS200 Z would win, it wieghs less as has less spec, lighter engine. BUT the IS200 is a better car to live with.
  21. The OP has an IS200 that is toast not a 300. Engines sell for the IS200 from £250 - £350, removal and re- fitting can be done by a halfway decent mechanic in 6 hours with time for coffee and probably biscuits. To put a 4cyl 3S-GE into an IS200 is a huge amount of work and really not worth it at all for the tiny power increase.
  22. I have just installed my 2005 SE Nav OEM radio into a 1999 SE Nav and all we did was use the 2005 radio connectors spliced into the 1999 loom, works fine.
  23. Double check your insurance is valid for your trip. take your policy documents and MOT certificate with you - just in case.
  24. Its the light pattern that they test, not the colour, so long as its angled correctly your OK. You will need a bulb in the fog though, if its fitted it should work.
