  1. Your better off buying from FIGS I bought some from Prolex (group buy) and they were "lost in the post" apparently, never did get my money back - be warned.
  2. Putting on a properly designed intake manifold instantly released 30 BHP. From 244 to 274 BHP Having someone who knows how to map a car properly brought the power to 286, a bit low for the mapper to be happy with as it was a known 300BHP map, on a good engine. Exhaust was removed to see why the power was down on expected, suddenly it hit 325 BHP:o Thats better :D Changing the exhaust system (Turbo back) to a 3" straight through stainless one with a Prodrive back box from a Scooby STi (good for 350 - 400BHP+ and sounds awesome) and we have 301BHP with 280 Torque dead on target :yahoo: So Thank you SPC Horsham for re-building this car from what it was to the monster it is now, and giving me what I wanted from the start of this project, you guys are simply the best. Shame the original build didn't live up to my hopes and expectations.
  3. There are a lot of IS200 running without the Pre-cats, so long as your car is up to normal running temperature when they test the emissions you don't really need the pre-cats so long as your main one of operating correctly.
  4. Put a Skyline unit in. http://www.c-ysports.com/altezza_r.html it can be done.....................
  5. Sounds like a voltage spike is getting through your RCA converters, try another set??
  6. I have 550cc injectors, adjustable fuel pump and return line to tank. Not a lot of help to you as I have a 3S-GTE.
  7. The fault could be the LPG injectors are placed to far away from the engine, a very common fault.
  8. Cool as I have the TRD final drive kit in my LSD I think the acceleration will be about as fast as this car will go with this power level!!

    Boot Lid

As it says, I am looking for a boot lid in Platinum Ice, WITHOUT A SPOILER or any holes. I will do a swap for mine that has a lip spoiler and high mount 3rd break light. You get a better boot and I save on body-shop costs mounting my new spoiler.
  10. No not quite gone yet................. House is currently being renovated, its a real hassle doing things like this from the UK, flying to the sun once a month to look at a building site, tough life I lead!! Back on topic: SPC are involved because I was completely fed up to the back teeth waiting for an appointment to get the tuning sorted out, and the gearbox swapped over (main input shaft bearing rattles), I have been waiting patiently since before JAE (which was great I may add). We are now in fact putting an altezza RS200 gearbox on and this moves the starter motor to where Monster Matt said it should be, under the intake manifold. I have no idea what the gearing will be, I don't know if there are different gear ratios in the RS200 box? but the TRD modified RS200 LSD currently on the car really is great at launching the car anyway so its not an issue really. There are lots of other things we are going to be doing to the car, one is in fact changing the inlet manifold to one that is designed properly to maximise the BHP available - again one of Monster Mats comments way back in the build - he was 100% correct, bet he gets fed up being right??? I have a feeling the new inlet manifold is going to be based on an uprated Nissan 200 turbo one, as it is the right shape and size only the runners will need changing - they nearly mate up anyway but the bolt holes are a bit different. There is a new rear spoiler going to be fitted also one of the large RS200 ones, just as soon as I can get a boot lid without a spoiler on already, in platinum Ice so I don't have the expense of welding and spraying the existing boot lid, as the lip spoiler mounts in different places to the new one. The sound system is almost finished also............
  11. Your shaking "could" be the same as mine as your symptoms are similar. My main input shaft bearing on the gearbox worn, causes a lot of vibration but thats it. I was quoted £600 for a repair but picked up a replacement gearbox for £50 on Ebay. Just waiting to fit it now.
  12. Unbelievable that a top coat was forgotten about. I think a refund and pay for the pros to do the job would be the least you should be asking for. The Chips away near us in Milton Keynes are OK, goes to show that franchises are not all the same.
  13. My Volt meter is exactly the same as my engine management computer. So it should be fairly accurate in a standard IS.
  14. Neat job. unfortunately with a turbo a conversion to mine is just not possible. Which is why it will be sold at some point in the not to distant future, and replaces with a LHD turbo car.
  15. The 1G-FE has the down pipe on the Right hand side. The Altezza with the 3S-GE units have the down pipe on the Left hand side. In a LHD vehicle (OP is in Sweden therefore LHD) the steering is also on the left therefore interferers with the exhaust manifold and down pipe, this is pretty simple to understand????? I know this because I have the only true 3S-GTE in the world (all the others are 3S-GE's with GTE internals as they started out as Altezzas) and as I am moving abroad have looked into swapping the dash and steering to make mine LHD and take the Lex with me - there isn't the room beleve me no way!!
  16. Well I have the 3S-GTE in mine and it is a VERY hard conversion, but the power is all worth while :P far quicker than the supercharged IS200's and more economical. The main problem you will find (as you have a LHD) is the exhaust manifold and down pipe will be in the way of your steering assembly because they come down on the opposite side to the 1J, not going to be an easy or straight forward swap.
  17. If you are good with tools do the job yourself. If you want a garage to do the job I would have thought 4 to 5 hours??
  18. TBH apart from LGV and PSV's I have never even seen Ethanol E85 available?? only LPG and that isn't worth the outlay unless you are doing huge miles.
  19. I only have an SE, but I didn't think the Sport had tinted fronts, only rears.
  20. Gearbox will have to be changed as the original one has an annoying rattle that gets worse as the 'box gets hotter, I think it is the main input shaft bearing??? not to worry a replacement 'box was only £50 from Ebay, from an Altezza. Or I have found a Supra 6 speed, just want a fitting cost as I am sure its not a straight swap. It has been on a dyno but the manifold air temp sensor was found to be faulty and as a result the ECU thought the manifold air temp was over 250C therefore a true power figure was not obtainable as the timing was suitable retarded and power is affected by this...... Oh boost was only 1 bar alsoso again not a true figure. I could post it up but no point, I have another dyno session next month. Top speed of the IS200 is now 150+mph we had it on a runway and the GPS clearly showed 154MPH, then I bottled it as the rear felt VERY light, and the revs were rather scarily high but not on the limiter.............. Sorry must add SPC Horsham (Ike and Phil) run the dyno - top guys and VERY knowledgeable.
  21. Looking for the tray that holds the heated seat and T/C on an IS200. I only need the plastic tray not the buttons.
  22. Same principal as the companies who guarantee to buy your house, regardless of condition....
