  1. Tried to get a quote from AVIVA today. Absolutely impossible .the LBX is still not listed, Told to try other insurers. Asked the agent to speak to the under righters but still nothing My car is arriving at the dealers on 22th April
  2. yes the cost will be approx £2000. There is no space for spare wheel. Raise the floor, all new panels. wheel and tyre, jack, wheel brace, wheel nut spanner, spare wheel bolt.
  3. Has anyone thought about this? I have made some enquiries,. but the price for all required items is far too excessive. Will rely on lexus breakdown should we be unfortunate enough to suffer a puncture.
  4. I think you will regret not having a test drive. This is a fantastic new car. Look at all the reviews
  5. Hello. Anyone received an insurance quote for LBX ?
  6. Hello. My current mpg is 43.7. from 49.8 in summer. I drive like a Vicars wife, always on ECO. and use supermarket E10 fuel. Is this normal? Any suggestions how to improve the economy please?? advance thanks Paul
  7. We assume the tyres are Bridgestone. These are very noisy. We changed to Dunlop run flats when the car arrived as part of the deal, We could not accept the noise from the Bridgestones. Very happy with the quiet Dunlops , as are many other UX owners
  8. Hello My wife is interested in the new LBX. Her present car is top of the range but all the "toys" are never used. Therefore the basic model would be most suitable. The dealer has confirmed that all variants have push button start but the basic model only has a manual key to open and lock the doors. I find this very difficult to accept in this day and age ? can anyone confirm this please? any comments most appreciated advance thanks Paul
  9. please let us know the results from the dealer. better let them use a spray thanks
  10. Anyone had this issue investigated and resolved
  11. yes, mine is doing it again in the warm weather-quite noisy. Both the struts were replaced last year at dealers under warranty.. Seems like a common issue. There is no noise in cooler weather. not sure whether to take any action.
  12. Thank you for the response. It is only the 12volt battery they are replacing
  13. The dealer is fitting a new battery next week to my UX250h. Will there be any of the settings( ie electric seats etc) that will need readjusting/re-setting after fitting? It failed the annual hybrid test, Thank you for any responses
  14. Hello, Just had the two years service. the technician recommended an air con re-gas, as per manufacturers service schedule. The air-con is working just fine, so i declined. Is it really necessary every 24 months? or is it just a revenue earner? Never has a re-gas on any other cars i have owned-and no problems. Your own thoughts please would be appreciated, Thanks
  15. is this through your own experience John
  16. Hello, Does anyone know if the Dealer puts new batteries in BOTH keys at the two years service? Phoned the Dealer but engaged. Thanks. Paul
  17. The air conditioning did struggle a little during the heatwave. Maybe because the car was in the sun all day. I think the compressor was cycling because the air went from cold to warmer and back again. Just like on other cars when it clicks on and off. but cannot hear the compressor on the UX, as it is electric. Car cooled down after short time and stayed cool as interior is well insulated. Anyone had any issues?
  18. Thank you both for your advice. will give this a try when it is sunny again
  19. Hello, this is the message sent to my local Dealer. "To save a visit, could I please request your advice to resolve a small issue on my UX. The power tailgate is making a creaking/groaning noise when opening and closing. The car sits in the sun most of the day and this only happens during warm weather. I have tried lubricating what I can see as moving parts, with silicon spray. This worked and the noise went away but for only approx seven days. Your advice please as to where to spray and what type of lubricant to use would be most appreciated. When the weather is cool there is no noise whatsoever. Thank you for your help," Any comments from other owners would be most appreciated. Thank you, Paul
  20. My advice would be to ensure that the tyre brand is Dunlop. After numerous test drives we found that the Bridgestone run flats were far too noisy. the dealer swapped them FOC as part of the deal. Dunlop run flats extremely quiet. This is also confirmed by other members. Hope this info helps. Paul
  21. Hello, After driving very carefully over the last 2000 miles have managed to achieve 51.6 miles per gallon average. This compares with the Winter low of 46.5 mpg. Just curious as to the results other UX owners are/have achieved. thanks for your replies.
  22. Thank you all for your replies. Have deleted the music app on the i phone and it seems to have solved the issue. If Apple car play is as good as Apple maps, via i phone, i will be very happy.. Lexus have just advised that the Apple car play up-date is now delayed until 4th quarter 2020 on UX model.
  23. Hello. Would like help with the following please. Whilst waiting for Lexus to release the Apple Car Play update. I decided to purchase a new i phone se and use Apple Maps for guidance. There is an issue as follows. When the phone is in the car ,placed in its dash holder with ign on--the media starts playing music and i cannot turn it off or delete it. It is the same music every time and because it is using the car's volume, Apple maps volume cannot be used . It is also playing on the phone when ignition turned off. I think the culprit is something called "Gracenote". Anyone with the same problem or someone with more technical knowledge to advise a solution please? Thank You for responses, Paul
