  1. Not too bad for a wee little country eh lads? 11 oscars including best director AND best movie... shows 'l lil NZ can mix it with the big US studios! To all L.O.T.R followers in the UK-I hope we did ya proud.... Gav B)
  2. I had a '94 blade with a 30 HP nos shot back in 97...that got a bit hairy at times...and that was (with extra work) around 168hp(and weighed 182 kg without me) Love the blades but am real happy with the '03 GSX-R 1000 now. Aprilla would be nice but SOOOOOO pricey here in NZ....
  3. We here in NZ can help you with such matters....... ;)
  4. I could always look at selling ya my altezza....160kw N/A...etc,and i've just been informed that my bodykit may be a Modelista?? I thought it was all Qualitat/TRD but some USA members reckon its a rare Modelista kit....
  5. I've owned both-and although the skyline is a fun(no trction)rear wheel drive(prob turbo?) if it's an r32 or r33 shape and in Gts-t format they are a good reliable motor, tho the factory ceramic turbos are relatively weak when you start uping boost levels etc. Also i had to replace water pumps on several ocassions and the coils(1 per each of 6 cyl)have a tendancy to have a limited lifespan. That been said, you can have these cars crossed up at nearly 90 degrees and thay feel perfectly balanced-next best handling car to my Altezza I've owned. I still rate the Altezza as the better car as an all rounder-you don't wanna know the petrol bill on a skyline-not to mention rear tyre wear!! Of course-if you are considering a genuine GTR 2.6twin turbo 4wd,thats a WHOLE different ball game... They will always be a force on the jap scene, and potential for mods to reach 1000hp+ is not hard to acheive!! Hope this helps in some way.... Gav.
  6. 315.5 on the top game.... gotta do better for on behalf of the NZ LOC!:)
  7. WIIIIICKKEEDDDDDD Matt!!!! Have started my car's profile but past my bedtime so will do photos and finish over the weekend... Lookin good guys-big change to look of site but awesome!!! regards gav
  8. Hey bert1e,i too was suprised to find a 6cyl under the hood, and even more suprised once I'd driven it-this engine leaves my last IS standing and has much more power through the rev range... i think that's part of the reason i bought it along with the fact the Qualitats are reasonably scarce, and all the extras....hopefully this 6cyl is rarer still and will hold it's price!! regards, gav
  9. How's that-i get out of bed after a hard NYE playin tunes in a club to a wicked crowd....AND THEN i manage to score the first post for '04 on th UK LOC from the other side of the world!!! What more could ya ask for a great start to the year! Happy new years guys, the club, and all you lot rock, and on behalf of the NZ LOC I wish all members all the best for the coming year. Highest regards and Restecp, Gav B)
  10. Good spotting steve! Happy new years buddy, hope your '04 has started well. regards, gav.
  11. Although I've done it a few times I keep having probs recalling the exact procedure for(once uploading)an avatar getting it sized to display? Can anyone assist me with a "step by step" so i can get it sorted once an for all!! please!! pretty please!!! Regards and happy '04 to you all from the NZ LOC, Gav.
  12. I'm lucky enough to own a qualitat.... check out a bit of info on mine Here, here, page 3 and finally a fourth page . i hope this gives you any info on the factory changes to the Qualitat version-and I've done a few extra's since the article that you can see by my signature. If you have any questions, please feel free to fire away! Regards and happy new year to ya, Gav. B)
  13. It's based on Auckland's(NZ) princess wharf, and is the first thing you see if you get off a cruise ship.... We do provide jackets, and its interesting to see the big strong"i don't need one"types change their mind after a few minutes! And as for scantily clad women.....that's what my dancefloor in our bar nextdoor is for!!!! they have to warm up again somehow..... :P
  14. Just thought a few may be interested... We've(as you know i'm in the bar industry) just opened a small drinking establishment made COMPLETELY OF ICE. This runs year round, and has walls, the bar, seats, tables, statues, sculptures and even the "glasses"you drink out of fashioned completely of ICE.... got a couple shots pre opening showing some of my family through-so if you'll put the faces aside and look at the venue lemme know what you think?? (merchandise is available) Allow me to show off "Minus 5" PS-we do provide jackets and mittens whilst in the bar...wouldn't want a whole lot of cold young women wandering out now, would we...? ;) There are 5 shot so far, starting in the gallery at Minus 5 Cheers, gav.
  15. On behalf of our regularly rising numbers down here in the NZ LOC I should like to take this opportunity to offer thanks to all those UK LOC'ers whom have joined, visited or offered guidance and support to out members. A better club, and a greater bunch of people to be a member of is something a bloke couldn't wish for. Have a great festive season ,and while we bake in out 30 degree sunhine on chrissy day our best wishes go out to you all. Utmost respect, and a special thank you to MR McNally without whom our nz loc would never have begun. Cheers, Gav. B)

  18. I understand Advanced Imports in Australia were doing a conversion a few months ago-(i was chatting to their NZ office, they wanted me to attempt the same-but the $$ put me off),I wonder if this black one is their doing??
  19. Good lookin ride phunt, Amazing what a few mods can do to enhance an already stunning appearance! B)
  20. Just as an item of interest, my 6 cyl altezza auto(still unsure what's been done to it,still N/aspirated) is pulling 6.69sec 0-100kph with me(105kg) sub box etc. Am seriously considering NOS lower in the rev range pre VVT-I to try and lower this time. Would love a s/c but finances won't allow...(sigh) Pic of RSM readings HERE I want a charger!!!
  21. I find the factory LSD more than adequate for the 6 cyl motor, mine's slightly up on factory HP and the diff still peforms without a glitch.... B)
  22. Well done Bazza-not an ex-pat Kiwi by chance are you?? Anyone else got any others? I know of at least a couple more....
