Hey Guys, I got a 57 400h. I'm getting 240 miles on a full tank (actually, after filling it up, I only had to add 52 liters, so it wasn't a full tank) .. seems wrong, driving in London most of the time, trying to keep to slow acceleration ... the computer shows average of 22.5 mpg . Is it me or the car ? thanks mat

Hi, I just changed my is250 06 to a 400h se mm 07 ... Although Lexus dealership said to me that the it's CC exempt, i keep reading conflicting messages ... Is the 400h exempt from congestion charge in London ? I need to wait till my V5 arrive back from dvla to apply ... but if it isn't than it's a big problem. Any advice would be much appreciated.

well apparently there is some damage ... they found it abandoned . Just trying to sort it so they get it to the Lexus Garage ... Thank god nothing happened to my wife, she was alone. And lucky i wasn't in the house, police said that if you harm a robber, you go to jail. I asked them ' what happens if he stumble and falls on a knife '? or repeatedly bangs his head against a baseball bat ? and they said :iraqi-info-minister: Anyway, it could have been a she ... I'll let you know what state the car is in when i see it ... it was Mint, not a scratch, everything was perfect. I hope they haven't smoked in the car ... that would be crossing the line :tsktsk:

They found it ! But no Key ... Now i want a Lexus garage to fix it and the insurance company is saying that only if their engineer approves, they'll pay it.

keys were by the door ... on a table (no one could see them from the outside) police said that there's an epidemic of this sort of crime. thieves these days like cars, no more TV and the usual stuff ... they can't be bothered, in and out. :( gig was deepest blue ... im not that old

Thanks guys, I just got back (gig in Russia) it could have been worse ... my wife is pregnant and she was asleep when the ***** broke in.. that's the car ... bought it 2 months ago from car giant (a nightmare experience in itself but that's another story... ) Its midnight blue Reg - LT56UYE with 21400 miles , mint condition just been serviced by Lexus in edgware. They got my mac book pro as well and couple of expensive jackets, navigator and shades (i kept some stuff in the car) they left the xbox 360 though :shutit: Police were here dusting but they only found a partial shoe print (I like CSI lol it was quite an experience to see it in real life) Thanks Matt

Hey guys, My wife just called and said that someone broke in, stole the car keys and the car .... I'm away and back this evening ... The police is coming round and insurance people are coming tomorrow . I just bought it two months ago ... how would i know if it has a tracking device ? Number plate is LT56UYE (IS250). Cheers Matt

i got the same noise ... only started after i had it serviced.

I just paid £827 for an IS250 56 reg ... it was by far the cheapest i could find. Although I've been driving since 1989 on my international driving license, I only got my full UK license in Jan08 My wife (who also got her international license for more then 10 years) got her UK one in August 2008. I had anything from £3k (Sky .... after 20%) to £1400 (Admiral) ... then Norwich Union which started at £1073 ended up at £827 with £320 access . They take into consideration the international driving license .... but we have no 'no claim bonus'.

Ok, ended up paying £389 for a full 20k service at edgware road ... i can live with that and still smile. Still need to go back and sort the A/C ... one of the components is gone (its a bit smelly ...) and they need 2-3 days to fix it ... Never the less, its for free and they come and pick up the car and bring it back, that's what i call service !!

I'v also added my wife who has only had her UK driving license for a month ... (she's been driving on an international license for 12 years) All my quotes from all the sites are high, the cheapest one was Admiral and that was £1370 ...

Far too much if you ask me. I know London prices are high but that is taking the mickey. If they can't do it for £350 - AT THE MOST - tell them to stick it. I was quoted £290 at Lexus Teesside so they should have some room to manouvre. I would have thought in these credit crunch times they would want your business at any price. I just negotiated for the 10k service - started at £384 then got quote from Twickenham for £210, put this back to edgware and they price matched (including gold discount). best to look around first Thanks Guys, I'll call Twickenam in the morning ... see what they can do What about Insurance ?, I got quoted £1073 from Norwich union for fully comp (although i had an international license since I'm 17 ... 36 now, I only got a full UK license since Jan 08, no 'no claim bonus')... Sky only insures a driver holding a minimum of 2 year UK license ... I left them a message anyway, maybe they can help .

Hi guys, I just got quoated £516 for a 20k service at LEXUS EDGWARE .... + 10% discount for being a gold member ...(£455) Is that too much ? Any ideas for cheaper London area service ? Cheers Matt

Hi people, I just put my deposit on a 2006 (October) IS250 with 20k miles :) Still got a year's warranty ... I just sat inside, took it for a test drive and that was it (after trying a few different cars, golf, Audi, SL500 - wow, 5.4 sec 0-62 but the insurance was 5k... and only two seater ...) . Gonna pick it up tomorrow, I got quoted £1370 for insurance, although I've been driving for almost 20 years (on an international License)... I only got my UK License in Jan08 ... I also got AA extended warranty for 2 years ...was that a good move ? Anything I should know/ be aware of ? I've been looking for a car since January ... I'm really excited !!!
