  1. @Barry14UK do you have anyone in around Bristol on the list? Thank you
  2. Happy Birthday Luxus!

  3. Thank you guys, for your recomendations, it is much appreciated. Funnily enough I had highlighted GOCOOL when I had a trawl around the net, so it's good to have a personal recomendation. I will contact both of them, fill them in on the history, and see what they think. I'll report back in due course. Many thanks once again. Andrew
  4. Any idea if the gremlins have been sorted out in the 2009/2010 disc ?
  5. Just bumping this in the hope that someone may know of a specialist. Have done nothing over the winter, but hoping that I might need the A/c soon ;) Did speak to Lexus, Bristol but they said they carry out their A/c work in house
  6. Thanks for your info. and sorry for the delay in replying. The car is a 2004, and I have owned it for exactly 1 year. THe problem is that the system is leaking, it was only when they attempted to regas it the second time that they encountered a problem, and that was when the foreign matter was encountered I bought it in October, and only use it occasionally so I'm not exactly sure when it stopped working. I know a little history of the car, and would be very surprised if "aircon stop leak" had been used. I did not see the debris the garage mention, but they described it as congealed oil. Any other infomation I can give you? Andrew
  7. I'm looking for a really first class aircon engineer in the Bristol/South West area. I had my LS430 recharged, and all seemed OK for about 3 weeks. The people who did it (recommended on this forum) told me to bring it back if there were any problems. I did as they said, they had it for about a week, they had a good look at it, and felt the only place where they thought there might be a leak was at the refilling point. They changed the valves, but then they found they couldn't recharge it, they brought in a specialist (name unknown to me) and he suggested there may be some "foreign matter/congealed oil in the system), pipes were removed and cleaned and now all was well. The recharge has lasted about 4 weeks. I'm loathe to take it back, as I believe it's beyond their level of expertise, and would welcome any comments and recommendations for some who is really good. I don't mind travelling to get this sorted out once and for all. Thanks in anticipation Andrew
  8. Just a shot in the dark How many files did you put on the disk? I believe there's a maximum of 99 Andrew
  9. I've noticed that the boot gets a bit damp. Whilst checking the seals I noticed the right hand side of the boot does not fit as well as the left. There doesn't appear to be any adjustment. My question is would I be best advised to tale it to a body repair specialist or a Lexus dealer. Be interested in what you think Second question as my LS430 has A/c in the back need I got to a specialist for a recharge or can I leave this to my local otherwise competent garage Andrew
  10. Hi David, Although I haven't used them, another member recommended Bond Motors, I thought I would probably give them a go when mine needed a service. Andrew PS I'll pop into Bedlam when I'm passing :)
  11. Hi David, and welcome from another Almondsbury resident. I've had my 430 for a couple of months now and love driving it. It is very much my car for "best", as I seem to do a lost of journeys conveying muddy children, large objects, and trips to the tip, at which my Grand Espace excels. Andrew
  12. I know what you mean. What I do now is decide the max I'm prepared to pay, put the figure in, and hit the confirm price with 3 seconds to go. You'll either get it, or it will go for more than you were prepared to pay. Therefore happy at either outcome Andrew
  13. I had a similar problem with my Samsung , paired OK, worked OK , but could not transfer numbers. Another poster suggested Sony Ericsson's usually worked, I had an old one lying around so transfered my numbers to this, and from this to the car, and it worked a treat. Andrew
