  1. The rear air suspension on my 2002 LS430 has failed today (front is fine). Car is being taken by AA to Lexus. Any of you guys have any suggestions as to what may have failed and likely cost to repair? Thanks, Angus
  2. Hi, have a 2002 LS430 that's done 106k. Had full service recently (new plugs/filters/oil etc). Recently, I have noticed there seems to be a slight hesitation (generally when pulling away) from 1000rpm to 2000rpm. It seems fine in all other rev ranges. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Regards, Angus
  3. Hi They are indeed under the carpet, it says in the manual that you can get at them by removing the heater vents that are on the side of the transmission tunnel, they are just below these vents under the carpet and soundproofing.... The vents just pull off, rear first. Good Luck Pete Hi Pete, Have had a quick look. The vents for the rear seem under the front seats. Are these the vents you refer to? There don't appear to be any rear vents on the transmission tunnel. There are vents in the front on the transmission tunnel. Your further advice would be much appreciated. Regards, Angus
  4. Does anyone know where to obtain a high quality set of beige mats for an LS 430?

  6. Hi, have a 2001 LS430. Does anyone know what is involved with changing the Post Cat Sensors? I spoke to my local mechanic and he seems to think the termination blocks are inside the car, under the centre console or seats. This seems a mad place to put them - access from under the car would seem more likely. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Angus. PS. I already have replacement Denso parts bought from the US (far cheaper than UK! even with import duty etc). Visit www.densoaftermarket.com or www.sparkplugs.com for these and other LS430 parts.
  7. Hi, I have a 2001 LS 430 which also has rust bubbles on the boot lid directly under the number plate lights. I have also noticed a bubble appearing on the O/S door just below the door mirror. I took the car to Lexus Brighton and they said they had never seen this before. They had an LS 430 in their car park so I had a look. It also had rust bubbles in exactly the same places. I am now waiting to hear back from Lexus regarding this issue. My understanding is this model has a 12 year anti-perforation guarantee. I believe Disp 2 just works the outside temperature guage.
