  1. Roy,pair of front wishbones were about &265 plus vat (which i can reclaim) You can get them cheaper on ebay, about £150 all in.However the ones I bought from rockauto are guaranteed for 5 years, and I prefered to pay the extra for what I think maybe a more durable product.
  2. Roy,get your garage to double check a spring isn't broken. I had knocking when going over speed humps and mechanic noticed play on n/s wishbone. I ordered a pair from rockautoparts and when he fitted them he told me he'd found a broken spring as well! Ordered a pair from toyota and Bobs your mother's brother ... magic carpet ride restored. Hope that helps, Rich.
  3. in the drivers side footwell, above your right foot. you can even try just tapping it to get a contact. Rich
  4. Alan, there are about 20 pairs of contacts (little pins) in the tilt/telescopic control box. each for a different function of tilt / telescopic / seat belt height / memory seats. If I am correct. try adjusting them so they make a secure contact. Or get your mechanic to do so. It worked for me! Rich.
  5. Hi Alan, try tightening/aligning the contacts to the tilt/telescopic control box a grey plastic box in the footwell. I recently had a fault fixed with my steering column tilt, it also cured the seat belt height control, which had not been working. therefore ? this box also controls the memory seats and seat belt height? worth a try, if you do this it can take a few hours to take effect, mine went intermitent for a while, before working perfectly .... no idea why? hope this helps Rich.
  6. I understand that most bettery drain is caused by the alarm. If your car is kept overnight in a secure place .... why not just use your key to lock the car.... only use the alarm when left somewhere vulnerable. Does anyone know if the LS has an imobiliser? I have an S2000 fitted with a cobra alarm....if you manually lock this the imobiliser still operates. If this is the same with the Lex alarm, maybe safe enough without setting. saves all the hassle of battery drain and lockout! Rich.
  7. thanks James, I suppose everyone else agrees with you, judging from the lack of replies! I must stop looking at the yank website.... Rich.
  8. does anyone know what these are off? do you think they'd look good on a silver mark3 LS ? are they 17" or 18" ? and would they fit ? or should I stay with original fitment? sorry, thats a lot of questions! ..... Rich
  9. Hi all... just registered. Recently bought a mark 3 LS400 1995. as the topic title.... is there another name for this part? this was given as an advisory on the recent MOT .... wondered if it is the same as front upper wishbones also known as control arms? yours, rather confused........ Rich.
