    Both discs changes and yes wheels tight! (cannot recall disc make yet not some cheap stuff). My mechanic has checked the callipers which seem to be fine...? Any ideas? Cheers.

    Hello to you all. Managed to finally sort out my wobble under braking - turned out to be a F/O/S warped hub - hurray! However now 6 months later - just developed an intermittent violent steering wheel wobble which can occur at any driving speed over 35 mph - this does not appear to be linked to braking. Wheels balanced and ball joints replaced - any notion as what I should try next..? Thank you.

    Hello, I feel that my IS200 is suffering from the dreaded ‘sticking callipers’ on the front wheels. My 'old school' mechanic is keen to clean them up, yet would you recommend replacing instead? Thank you.

    Hello, Timing belt and tenisioner changed in March 2008 at 102,000 miles. Now on 143,000 miles - should I consider changing yet? Also what else should be changed at the same time? Cheers. (And a happy Easter to you all).

    Hello noby76. Thank you for confirming my suspicions. I will keep with the tyres for the time being due to the desire not to waste money. I take your point about the name yet how is one to know when tyre names ( as with most items), are designed to sell rather than inform? ...are well you live and learn.     Recently had fitted 4 Dunlop Sport Maxx TT tyres (215/ 45/17). The drive quality has dropped like a stone. It has gone from a smooth ride to feeling every bump. Have I just made a poor tyre choice? (I have tried lowering the psi from 33 down to 30 will no improvement). Help! Cheers.

    (My previous posting appears to have an error with it) I am considering buying an SC and have a budget of £8000. I have a concern regarding the suspension on early models (?), is there any issues with the ride quality or any other issues that i should be aware of? Thank you.

    Hello, i am considering buying an SC (budget £8000 approx), yet have some concerns indicated below: 1. What MPG can one expect (mixed driving)? 2. What month and year did the tax increase? 3. I have heard of early suspension issues, what month and year did these become resolved (if at all?) 4. Any major issues to be wary of from a purchase and ownership viewpoint? Thank you.

    Hi,they seem to be wrong as they usually are 215.45.17 Okay, thankyou. Does anyone have any advice regarding fitting winter tyres? Also is there a problem with my current set being 205 instead of 215? Thanks again!

    Hello, My current tyre size is 205 / 45 / 17 on a 54 plate IS200 SE. Are these correct or should they be 215 / 45 / 17 ? Asking this in relation to possibly buying a set of winter tyres. Thank you. :P

    Hello, Thanks for the advice. However i have tried changing the wheels around and have a new set of Falkens on the car, my local mechanic can see no fault with the brakes Would it seem a good idea to have one final attempt at balancing and if so can you advise as to a decent specialist? I live just outside Tamworth. Many thanks. :)

    Hello to you all, I Have a steering wheel vibration at 60 MPH (approx) - this does not occur all of the time! No issue under heavy braking. Combined to this my gear level vibrates like no ones business at speed. Sounds like a balancing issue i know - had a new set of tyres and balanced at 3 seperate garages, this has resulted in a marked improvement yet it is not 100% right. Lexus Birmingham quoted me £107 for an hours investigation which i am still laughing at. Can anyone help as it's driving me to distraction! Many thanks in advance. :D

    Hello, Looking to replace front set of tyres - currently running on Dunlop SP Sports - 215 45 17, on when i bought the car. My driving is a mixed bag, rural - motorway, main concern is a smooth ride. Any suggestions would be greatfully received. Cheers. :)
