  1. That is Northern Ireland reg which is UK, or someone has put a NI reg on so the car doesn't show it's ageAlan
  2. Try a FM Modulater which uses a low FM 88.3-89.3 band, It has a stereo output to a DVD Player etc. You might need an inline suppressor Alan
  3. Yes, but it only does it when it is cold. Alan
  4. I have just moved house & my drive is a steep hill, if I reverse down & try to go up again it takes about 5 seconds for the transmision to change. Do I need an oil change, if so can I do it my self. The car is 1991 370,000 full service by Lexus, I have put 6,000 miles on from when I bought it a year a ago Many Thanks Alan
  5. I had the same problem opening the doors, is there something you can put on the rubber seal to stop it sticking. Alan
  6. Thanks for the replies, I will look into it, It only does that if it has been sitting for more than a day, after that 2/3 seconds is all it takes. My local Lexus dealer where I bought it said that when the previous owner purchased it from them new he was intending to keep it for 2 years, he kept for 12 years. They worked out that he spent £65,000 on servicing, £78,000 on fuel plus the price of the car £40,000, total is £183,000, over 12 years is £15,250 per year. I bought the car for £2,000 a year ago & it drives like a dream. :P Alan
  7. My 1991 400ls with 400,000miles, on the first start in the morning it takes about 10 seconds for it to catch, is this normal or is there a fuel return valve ( or something) which is weak Thanks Alan
  8. Is there anyway of changing the release so you don't have to switch the engine off before the interior release button will work (92 LS400 ) very annoying when stopping to pickup with shopping in traffic. Alan :D
  9. I have changed the fuse ,it is a long job. The spades of the fuse are about 4" long, there are 2 8mm bolts holding it in which are hard to access, you have to unbolt the fusebox it'self & take plastic covers off . Alan
  10. Yes, it only had a crack in it, it has been like that from when I bought the car. I will pull it with a pair of long nose pliers. The cold weather must have something to do with it, the bonnet landed on my head so I need struts, I know that on the US site there is a cheap way of getting them, does anyone know of a cheap supplier in the UK Alan
  11. I think I have found the problem, a large white square 120 amp fuse in the main fusebox had been broken & the wires were just touching. I can't get it out of the holder, should it just pull up or do all four come out as a unit. Thanks Alan :D
  12. I went back out & tried it after about 1 hour, everything was ok.The same thing happened again tonight. At the weekend I had fitted a reversing aid from Argos £30, that is wired through one of the reversing lights, I unpluged it after the second time but is was still the same. The only thing is working is the front & interior lights. Alan
