  1. Happy Birthday jonnychurch28!

  2. I have just realised that lexus have illuminated door sills on some of the new cars. I have alse after some research realised that somebody has modified it too fit their is250. The question to ask is has anybody done this to the IS200/300?? If this has already been done then very well done and how did you do it?? I believe this would have to be a must for the next mod? Cheers Jonny
  3. Hi guys, After hopefully overcoming a gearbox problem (lost 6th Gear ) this coming weekend I think it is about time I have my IS some TLC...So my next thought is to recondition the horendous wheels that the standard 5 spoke wheels turn into. My idea is to powdercoat them graphite grey, I have had a quote at £25 a wheel which is very acceptable. However with powdercoating taking place in a giant oven to bake the powder on he will be unable to colour the centre caps. Therefore my question to the guys that have already proceeded in doing this is where did you get the Graphite Grey Plastic Aerosol paint from. I have had a look at some on the web but all seem to be metallic. Bearing in mind powder coating is a flat colour metallic wont do. Any help is beneficial :D Thanks Jonny
  4. That is a bit of a disaster but thanks for the effort, greatly appreciated
  5. Hello, I have recently had problems with my brakes and have come to the conclusion that it is my master cylinder. I have contacted my local dealer as to a price on a new one and this is £300 + VAT!!! very expensive!! Also Lexus have witheld the information to motor factors and it you are unable to purchase a new one from a universal company. My question is, from previous experience I know that braking parts are bought in when the cars are being produced, whether this from bosch, AP, brembo etc i do not know.... but what i do believe is that this master cyliner must be fitted to another car on the market?? Hopefully if i can find this out I wil be able to source the part much cheaper from a motorfactor stating the different car model. Can anybody help me on this?? Thanks Jonny
  6. that was exactly my thought mate, spoiler has come not fitted yet but very pleased with it. The same spoiler as the one from lexus just no brake light. as you say is there really a need for it??
  7. I just bought that for my mine, good price i thought and looks good but subtle. Not arrived yet but will be sure to give my opinion when it does arrive.
  8. They were both the same price mate. £257.18 + vat pricey i thought.
  9. Hi all, rang my local lexus dealer today to get a price on the 2 spoilers they do, lip and raised. Ideally i would like the raised spoiler for mine as i think it looks alot better but the dealer was unsure if it would fit with mine being a 2001 model and they only put it on the later models. Personally i would think it would be irrelevant of the age as they all the same but just wanted your guys great knowledge. All help great!! Cheers Jonny
  10. Thanks alot mate, great help i will get back onto them now with the part number for a price. Do you believe these are the best springs to go for and what sort of drop do they offer?? Cheers Jonny
  11. Hi all, im new to the forum and seeking some advice. I have had my lex for a yr now and looking for a new look. I want to lower her but dont want to go to the expense of coilovers. What do you think of the tein lowering springs as dont want to go for cheap crap either?? My main concern is making the ride stupidly hard, i presume you guys know the change after?? Reading some of the threads from the past you guys have put on the tte/eibach springs are most higly reccomended. You say these are bought from lexus, but i rang my local lexus dealership up and he has never heard of such a part to be bought for the is200. What do you guys think?? Have i just gone the wrong way about it?? If they are bought from the dealership do any of you guys have a part number?? Thanks Jonny
  12. i also would like to lower mine with the tein ss but was unaware of the knocking noise. However it comments on teins website that abjustment to the rear arches needed to be made to allow for the set with top mounts is this true??
