I bought my 2003 IS200 3 months ago for R115 000.00 with 119 000km on the clock. I thought it was in pretty good nick, but saw an IS300 for sale today which was an absolute minter. Is a 2004 but has 148 000km and costs R 140 000.00. I'm really tempted to upgrade, but am put off by the mileage. Any advice dudes?

I used brasso this weekend and it worked beautifully. I could'nt find plasticx at any store here in durban but meguires products are available, so I'll just keep looking for stock. I'm very pleased with the result. Thanks

Another query guys. The edges of my driver's (right) side headlight seem to be going dull and murky. I've seen this on other cars as well. Is this common and is there any way to fix this. Thanks Zaheer

Not deep at all. Just seemed to have made to surface texture rougher. I'll try them out and hope it works. They're not really visible, but I can see it and it bothers the hell out of me

Any particular kind of polish, like those coloured polishes?

Damn These bumpers are delicate. Any advice on how to remove minor scuffs on the bumpers. My IS 200 is the pearly white, and I'm not keen on having them sprayed. Ideas dudes?

Thanks It has a service history from Lexus, and the IS200/300 is very rare here. I'm going to take it for a service to Lexus in the next 2 weeks anyway so everything should be fine. I'll try to sort the cd player through unofficial channels

Hello everyone I've just bought a 2003 IS200 auto in Durban South Africa. 118 500km(74 000miles), 115 000rands (7650pounds). A few questions: - Good mileage and price? - Is it ok if the car seems to give off lots of heat? - Are cd player problems common? Thanks Zaheer
