  1. I have been reading this thread and wish to clarify... The DHP consisted of lowered suspension, larger 17" wheels, Pirelli P Zero 245/50 x 17 low profile tyres and a front grille painted in the same colour as the body. The engine and transmission were standard. The DHP was never available on a Mark 3. The DHP was introduced with the 1997 Mark 4 cars. I have owned mine since new in 2000 and it was ordered especially with this pack because I liked the wheel design. The car replaced a Mark 3 which, in turn, had replaced a Mark 2. And that's about it, really.
  2. Thank you for your advice. It is appreciated. I can only fine ONE fuse for the radio in the fuse box by the drivers right foot. I haven't disconnected the battery. I did have the carphone cradle removed, though. I was suspecting it may be that the system which mutes the radio when the phone cuts in has shorted somewhere or blown something resulting in the radio being muted. The radio/CD display still works and shows the stations etc. There is just no sound from the speakers. The sat nav is working fine both visually and audibly through the speakers. Lexus want to send away my Radio/SatNav for diagnosis. I am not sure that is necessary as the fault might be in the car, not the unit. What do you reckon? Thanks for all advice. Brad
  3. Hi Simon, No sorry, mine is doing the same with the click click problem and has been for the last 6 months but up to now it does start on the 2nd or 3rd attempt. I bought a spare starter a year or so ago and the plunger/contacts so I am going to replace them. I even have all the gaskets to do the job but never the time so may get my local independant garage to do the fitting of the motor. Good luck with the repair. Steve. Mine did this. Lexus Cheltenham fitted a new starter motor for just under £800 including labour and VAT. They said they had to drop the transmission and the exhausts to get the old one out and fit the new one. Does this sound right?
  4. Hello My Lexus is one of the last LS400 registered July 2000 "W" reg. I have lost all volume on the radio/CD/Tape player. The sound from the touch screen Sat Nav is unaffected and still works 100%. I have checked all fuses in fuse boxes under the bonnet and by drivers right foot. Could the issue be with the amp? Is it seperately fused? Where can I find the fuse and the amp itself? Thanks for your help and advice. I look forward to sound again soon. Brad
