  1. Oh cool, - again, sorry for the late reply. I might try that. But it won't unlock the DVD and bluetooth phone will it?
  2. Turn the radio and climate control off, and drive over a bumpy road, and make sure not a single noise is coming from your rear windscreen or shelf !!!!!!! (Rattle noise, creaking noise, rubbing noise, etc.) - Also, check the bumps arent causing tooooo hard a ride, otherwise the damper could have gone. I had my rear windscreen and damper changed under warranty :)
  3. Yeh I want to somehow activate the existing hardware - and then possibly change the high beam bulb later down the line (but at the moment I like the normal yellowish bulb, like this http://www.clublexus.com/forums/attachment...ad-is250_sd.jpg ). I want to use the DRL system exactly how it already operates in countries such as US/Canada,etc. Now is there absolutely no DRL module fitted in non-drl cars?? Where will I be able to get this module from?? Thanks, Sunny
  4. Oh WOW! :D And how would I go about getting one of these without paying for it? (implying via some form of Software download/////home made one) sorry about the delay in reply.
  5. Hey all, On this website, http://www.lexus-mapupdates.eu/ If you click on the big button "WHY UPDATE", it then shows a box, and it says on it: "GOOD NEWS! NO MORE FROZEN SCREENS! With your new map-update DVDs (PZ485-X03EU-08 & PZ485-X03RU-08), you will have not just expanded coverage but also an extra function allowing you to operate the navigation while driving*." *: please refer to FAQs for the limitations of the application. So what does this mean? They've finally allowed us to operate it while driving!? Im not sure about this. Can someone confirm this for me? Seems to be a E.U. website, so it should apply to the UK Thanks, Sunny
  6. Nope. you have to carry a torch with you, its quite annoying. :P :P :P :P :P Of course they are! The brightness of the lighting can be adjusted, and the colour of them is Green, apart from the Speedo and Revometer which stay white (but dim).
  7. Hi all, My dad is thinking of getting an iPod integration kit in his LS600h Just a couple of questions... Will this take up all 6 CD 'slots' ? Will i still be able to play a DVD in the rear screens due to this?? And also, is it any good or not worth the hassle? Can I change songs whilst on the move?? Thanks, Sunny
  8. Hey all, I decided to install Ultra Halogen bulbs.... here are the pics... http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=6905...mp;l=0560e74009 Not a bad turnout, I think. Sunny.
  9. Oh okay, I've found this bulb someone at Halfords can order in for me... http://www.streetandcircuit-shop.biz/ultra...11p-47368-p.asp It seems to be exactly what im after! a halogen bulb (you can even see the filament if you enlarge the picture!) with a blueish light, so it looks like an xenon. That should be okay with the current setup, shouldn't it? Again, guys, thank you for your help! :D
  10. Im also about to buy HID lamps :D (without the kit though, just a plug and play solution) the bulbs for my IS250 are H11 55W, however I can't garuntee its the same for yours (they could have possibly changed the spec over the years? im really not sure tbh). Im looking at these bulbs: http://www.hids4u.co.uk/product.php?productid=137&cat=50
  11. I'm not going for the kit anyway, because I rang up Lexus dealer and they told me that in order to legally have a HID kit, an auto-levelling system will need to be fitted, and (for some reason) headlamp washers. With the normal plug and play HID lamps (the mimick ones), will they look as whitish-bluish as an OEM setup? Also what temperature will they go upto? is there any chance of it burning the light unit?? Thanks for all the help guys!! :D Sunny
  12. Ok okay cool, but just so I can understand how the whole thing works, Can I just put that lamp (the one I gave a link to earlier) straight into the halogen socket without any modifications? And what advantages does a HID kit have over just putting the bulb into the halogen socket?
  13. Dear All, Im very very new to this forum (infact, I just registered 5mins ago), and I was just wondering if I could have a bit of help... I have a Lexus IS250 SE, and it has standard Halogen lamps on it. I was wondering if I could get HID lamps fitted to the car. I've had a look around on the internet, and im getting quite confused, because some websites are talking about HID conversion kits, and some websites are selling 12V 55W H11 HID lamps like this: http://www.hids4u.co.uk/home.php?cat=50 Can I not just plug these lamps into the existing set up? I don't want to spend a lot of money on it, I just want the "whitish blueish" look of HID/Xenon lamps (im not bothered about the light intensity or distance). Thanks, Sunny.
