  1. That is absolutely bloody mental! I have to say I actually feel sorry for the lad, surely he must have someone he could have discussed this with? At least he's getting loads of sympathy on that other forum
  2. You might want to check what unit your cd player is mate, a few people have had problems getting the grom to work with some headunits! I think the 13902 headunit was the one most people had trouble with, although that was a while back so may have been fixed? Better to ask first before getting it sent from the US.
  3. Caught some of his stand up last night, was really good, but wasnt so keen on the chat show. Probably didn't help that his guests were pretty crap!
  4. Thanks a lot for all the help folks! Ormi that sounds great mate, I will send you a PM to get everything sorted.
  5. Hey folks, its that time of year when the Lex is needing its service and MOT so looking for a bit of advice! When I had my old car i would just take it to the local garage, but I think the Lex needs a little more looking after (or maybe I'm just more willing to spend the money now!) so I was wondering if anyone knew of any goods places around the Edinburgh area for servicing? I did consider taking it to Lexus but I am a poor student and feel that could get a little expensive, plus the car is nine years old now and has missed one service in the book so going to a main dealer seems less important. Also as a little sidenote, does anyone know when exactly the timing belt interval was changed to 6 years? i have the stamp in the book but its from 2006 so not sure if it has been done! Cheers
  6. Lexus Birmingham are selling a lot on Ebay just now mate might be worth checking if they have any. The user name is Lexusbirm, they seem to have plugs and service kits if they are any good to you!
  7. Yeah its controlled through the head unit, external cd changer so each of the different cd's acts as a playlist. Managed to run the cable into the little compartment behind the gear lever too, not showing and wires, so I'm well chuffed!
  8. Cheers for the help guys! Glad to say that the Xcarlink works too! I have the 13902 unit that has problems with the Grom interface but this one works fine, so if anyone is looking for an alternative to the Grom this comes highly recomended
  9. Hey guys, just a quick question, Bought an Xcarlink lead to fit on my IS200, was just wondering when i take the CD player out to connect the lead will this reset my CD player meaning i need to enter a code? If so is there any way of preventing this as I don't have a clue what my code is!
