  1. Black for sure, goes great on the orange with black trims.
  2. Maybe the equipment they had wasn’t quite up to the job. Good they didn’t get it though.
  3. What year is your RCF? And when you say attempted, was there any damage done at all? I am wondering why pre 08/2017 models are not listed in Lexus Newsletter, any clues from your experience?
  4. Of course, all in the name of "Greedflation"
  5. One of the best thing about going F over any of the M's or AMG's is insurance and rarity. Let's just hope it stays this way...
  6. Hi all I bought a club stand pass for this years JapFest but I’ve now booked a holiday and can no longer go. I can transfer it to another owner for free just DM me if you are interested and we’ll sort out the admin. All club stand passes have already sold out so here is your only chance. JapFest is at Silverstone Sunday 7th April Cheers, Bill.
  7. The day after I booked mine in, I got a call from sales rep trying to upsell me one of the used Track Edition's which is still on AT. Yeh ok, Ill just go and get the spare +£50k I have down the sofa and be right there 😄
  8. Hi all, I came up behind a gold/silver RC this Saturday morning just gone, approx 8:40am. Junction 5 of M25, number plate had RON at the end. Anyone on here? I was in the blue RCF.
  9. Hi all, Saw a white ISF pulled over in the hard shoulder off of jct 4 of the M25 (Orpington) this Saturday. Was it you? Always excited to see another F in my local area. And, yes hard shoulder, but no didn't look like a breakdown. I think I saw a lady get out to tend to kids or something... that was my assumption. Say hi if you're here?
  10. Anyone know if this is also the case for the later mirrors - 3IS/RCF/GSF? I just bought some carbon mirror cap replacements from US seller and now worried I have made a mistake - dammit.
  11. @RCF Fan depending age and mileage of your car to date, you might find new hardware for the calipers is due. It will also compliment your shiny new pad install. Lexus want c£99 for each side! But fear not, a few of us purchased a full set from Rock Auto (no affiliation) for a fraction of the cost $15, despite shipping from US. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/lexus,2015,rc+f,5.0l+v8,3310304,brake+&+wheel+hub,disc+brake+hardware+kit,1736 I bought the Carlson brand, but cheaper variants are available now...
  12. I cant comment on dust vs OEM as I have not had OEM pads in the 3 years of ownership. However the level of dust from the Red Stuff is satisfactory for a performance car and I have read feedback from other owners that they are better vs OEM. One thing you do NOT get if you grease up correctly is squeal - OEM can be bad for that I am told. If you need any pointers for fitting, DM me. Its easy!
  13. I recommend Red Stuff for daily driving, if you plan any track days go Yellow - though they do report to be a lot more dusty than Red. Yes, both of these pads from EBC have the little notch in them to accept the OEM wear sensors.
  14. Indeed. £1500 is still going to hurt, but I am somewhat less worried about finding coolant now.... Plus if I remove the plastic engine cover myself, I might save another £1.00 in labour LOL Glad you are all sorted @ubersonic
  15. I think a few layers (5-6) of good quality lacquer might give you the same finish? And arguably last forever same as bodywork.
  16. Not advocating in any way at all but the dismantler's selling these wheels had an entire GSF at one point https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/333768752155?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=8xMc12cKTTW&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=KnwGFylsR_a&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Send them a message but like other say, likely all the parts in demand have gone.
  17. I am very please with mine which resembles my life long nickname almost perfectly. I paid just £200 after managing to get DVLA to release it into auction. I was totally surprised at their starting price and then i was the only bidder so a bargain!! That is to me as the name was valuable to me. I set my self a limit of £1000 before the auction started. Clearly no one else values that reg as high as no one else was interested so.... all subjective. Car specific plates are less subjective IMO. I'd say a car specific plate is worth probably £250-500.
  18. This is awesome mate, you should / I would be proud. Sounds lovely too 👌🏼
  19. For Go Japan, no invite. I emailed the organizers and requested a pass for the individual exhibit (which was free) and then you and your passengers pay the general entry fee.
  20. Are you within Relax warranty? Id call Lexus as they should be able to come and collect it for non driveable faults
  21. White one for sale on Facebook marketplace at the moment https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/325747679938333/
  22. Looks like a decent example. Apart from the obvious body kit (nice) I also spotted from the pictures it likely has spacers fitted. Confirmed by MOT history. Looks like they’ve fitted slightly wider than stock tyres (265 and 285). Although those sizes were listed as part of a failure or advisory so could’ve been replaced with stock for the pass.
  23. Yeh that's good. Sidcup insisted on keeping the car all day for "a big job" but I was one of the first to have it done there so they are probably much faster at doing it now. I didn't get fuel either - just an inaccurate health check claiming my brand new brakes (50 miles old) had a lip on them lol [sigh]
