I live in London and in the past 3 years 5 attempts were made to steal my car but failed, I just had to deal with the broken front side to get into the left headlight. If my premium goes up this year I would tell them this if it helps LOL

What year is your RCF? And when you say attempted, was there any damage done at all?

I am wondering why pre 08/2017 models are not listed in Lexus Newsletter, any clues from your experience?

  2. @RCF Fan depending age and mileage of your car to date, you might find new hardware for the calipers is due. It will also compliment your shiny new pad install.

Lexus want c£99 for each side! But fear not, a few of us purchased a full set from Rock Auto (no affiliation) for a fraction of the cost $15, despite shipping from US.

I bought the Carlson brand, but cheaper variants are available now...

  3. I cant comment on dust vs OEM as I have not had OEM pads in the 3 years of ownership.

However the level of dust from the Red Stuff is satisfactory for a performance car and I have read feedback from other owners that they are better vs OEM.

One thing you do NOT get if you grease up correctly is squeal - OEM can be bad for that I am told.

If you need any pointers for fitting, DM me. Its easy!

  4. I am very please with mine which resembles my life long nickname almost perfectly.

I paid just £200 after managing to get DVLA to release it into auction. I was totally surprised at their starting price and then i was the only bidder so a bargain!!

That is to me as the name was valuable to me. I set my self a limit of £1000 before the auction started. Clearly no one else values that reg as high as no one else was interested so.... all subjective.

Car specific plates are less subjective IMO. I'd say a car specific plate is worth probably £250-500.

Do you need to be invited to take your car to go Japan?

If so we should still arrange a meet in Newbury or Oxford in the new t couple of weeks. Any interests?

For Go Japan, no invite. I emailed the organizers and requested a pass for the individual exhibit (which was free) and then you and your passengers pay the general entry fee.

  6. Looks like a decent example.

Apart from the obvious body kit (nice) I also spotted from the pictures it likely has spacers fitted. Confirmed by MOT history. Looks like they’ve fitted slightly wider than stock tyres (265 and 285).

Although those sizes were listed as part of a failure or advisory so could’ve been replaced with stock for the pass.
