  1. Yeah, new mirror fitted eventually(see topic ' First Impressions') apparantly the problem was the mirror stalk was too long causing the vibrations. No problems since.
  2. Hello, I had a previous topic about the blurry rear view mirror in my 220d. On the advice of several members replying to the post I contacted Lexus Glasgow and arrangements were made for me to take the car in and have the mirror replaced with a 'modified ' version under warranty. On the arranged day I made a 50 mile trip to the garage only to be told that the ' job sheet ' hadn't been made up and the mirror wasn't there. Great. I went back another day only to be informed that the wrong mirror had been ordered and it wasn't suitable for my car. Another 50 miles, great. I was told there was nothing they could do but on mentioning that I had never had problems with my previous car dealer( Beemer) they took a mirror from an 09 car in the showroom and swiftly fitted it to my car. Hope this was just an anomaly, but first impressions weren't good. At least they put 20 quid of diesel in the tank for the inconvenience.
  3. what is abundantly clear from all the posts is that no two cars from the same 220d production line give equivalent performance under similar driving conditions. weird . I have got 55.6 mpg on a 400 mile round trip on various types of road but i think i have been lucky by the sounds of it.
  4. Thanks for the feedback. Have contacted Lexus Glasgow and is getting fixed under warranty. :duh:
  5. Hello, new member to club. Purchased an 07 220d three weeks ago. Has anyone else had problems with their rear view mirror ? Thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when i looked in the mirror doing 40 mph and everything was blurry. Got worse when on the motorway doing 70 mph. Fortunately others have driven my car and confirmed it's not my eyes that are failing.
  6. I purchased an 07 220d 3 weeks ago. After reading the posts re consumption I set off on holiday which involved a 400 mile drive on various road types. i must admit i was a bit concerned about how much fuel i would need but was delighted to average 55.4 mpg over the course of the journey. Either I am very fortunate or have a dodgy on board computer. Speeds varied from 30 mph to 70 mph on country roads/ motorways. Do tend to use cruise control whenever possible. Hope the mpg remains at this level.
