I have a GS 450H on a 56 plate. I want to upgrade my mobile to the Iphone. Does anyone have any experience of how this phone works with the bluetooth. By the way it is a fantastic car! Thanks, Mel

On a drive from the New Forest to London and then two or three days driving about 16 miles a day in London and then back to the New Foest, I am getting 34+mpg. If I calculate just driving around London without the motorway, then it drops to about 20mpg. I am interested in whether leaving it in Hybrid power mode improves the performance. I use this for the motorway bit but not the London leg. I will leave it in power mode and see. Mel Marks

I have had a 450h SEL since the end of Jan. My previous car was a SC430 and I can only say this one is fantastic. The performance leaves even the SC standing. Forget the figures, when you accelerate and the electric motor cuts in the power and the power band is amazing. It is seamless and you watch the car behind you fade away in a flash. I drive motorway up to London and then in and around London and I am constantly averaging 30mpg. On a straight motorway run it is up in the higher 30's. The spec on the car is awesome. I have not felt that the ride is harsh but perhaps coming from the SC, I wouldn't notice it. I am 101% over the moon with the car. I cannot think that the new LS600 will be that much better to warrant the price difference. Try this one. I am certain you will be amazed.

No not yet, but it is such a vote winner as so many Londoners hate gas guzzlers that having given it so much publicity i am sure it will be brought in.

Is there anyone who can give me some feedback on the 450h. I am about to change my 02 SC430. I was intent on upgrading to another SC. However the big problem is that I live and spend a lot of time in London. Our wonderful Mayor has decided to wage war on "Chelsea Tractors" by imposing a £25 per day congestion charge on any car over 225g C.O. The SC falls into this catagory and he will not give a residents discount on this group. My dealer has suggested the 450 hybrid and I wondered if anyone who has got one can give the lowdown and any problems or positives? I am looking for advice on what to do next. I have had an SC430 for over 4 years and now am ready to change. My quandry is whether to buy a newer updated version of the Lexus or to go to an alternative model. The two I had in mind were a pre owned SL500 Merc or the 645 convertible BMW. I have been delighted with the SC wonder if something different might be better. Has anyone out there had any experience of the alternatives or any feedback on them

Did anyone else read last week's Sunday Times. The "wonderful" Mr Clarkson not only had to admit that his £90,000 SL55 was far from reliable and was causing him all sorts of problems, but also that amongst the sackloads of complaints he receives weekly many of them come from Merc. owners. Maybe he should have bought the SC 430 and if it's like mine he would never have cause to complain. Great cars are about being able to live with them 24/7 and not having them sit at the dealers waiting for repair

My dealer is going to change the suspension and tyres on my 02 SC 430 from runflats to normal tyres. I am told they will fit Pirelli P Zero's Does anyone have experience of these or any suggestions as to the best replacement Thanks Mel
