  1. The already is factory marks so I didnt think it was needed, so no. And that topic doesnt help, because I cant see the midle bolt in the part so I cant use any of that info for alligning the pulley. It´s hard for me to explain, but the center of the pulley is now turned and the marks on the outer rim are wrong. You can see the midle "tooth" or hole in this picture, and I have no idea wich direction it should point at (now pointing north-east): http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/6664/dsc0312o.jpg If someone has similar part 13060-74010 and could take couple of good pictures of it so that I could re alling the center piece with the outer pulley part correctly???
  2. I allready did put it together (as you see in the picture), was real pain in the ***** tho. Now i should remove it again to get center gear into right position. I know I shouldt dismantle it, but I wasnt aware of that when I was dismantling the engine. If someone has this manual, please post a picture of the page considering this part!! thank you!
  3. This is what mine looks like assebled whitout knowledge of how to position of the center piece with the outer marker. A similar image of right assebled "can" would solve it all so that I could put the center piece in a same agle with the outer line marker. http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/6664/dsc0312o.jpg Please help, I am in a hurry putting my engine back together!
  4. Could someone send pictures from removed one, so that I might be able to set the inner parts in right angle with the outer tooths??? Also if someone has a spare one of these exhaust vvti "can´s" and would send it reasonably to Finland I am intrested of buying one.
  5. Hi everybody! I have a problem with my altezza. This is what happened: I opened the engine and when I was about to remove the cam´s I did open the vvti system at the front of the cam´s. It has a large spring inside so it did "explode" and the valve timing is now impossible to se correctly, because I can´t know which position is correct for the parts indese the vvti-"can". Solution for this would be a mesure after top dead cente for the camshafts or if there is somekind of markers in cams that I am not able to find? Or a mesure that when intake valve is open X millimeters, the exhaust valve is open Y millimeters. If I could find the zero point for exhaust cam I could continue my reassemling, the intake cam is fine. -Mikko
  6. Do you have somekind of temporately or export license plates? Like buying from germany I can take export plates to the car and they have own insurance and I can just drive the car thru europe back to finland. When buying from private, could I use his plates and insurance when driving back here and send the plates possibly back? How can I trust that I get the V5 by mail? I must speak to someone experienced in uk-importing :)
  7. I now received the pictures form the tokyo harbour! The car is Z-edition! And it looks pretty mint. I am a bit disapointed because there was no pictures of the suspension and there is no intercooler at all. Well the IC is simple to add later. Here is the gallery: http://img20.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=sxe1000203811.jpg Tell me what do you think and if you see something different from the original :D
  8. There has been a lot of discussion lately in a finnish car import scene about exporting cars from UK. Now when €-£ is high it would even be a bid cheaper than importing them directly from japan and one could see the product before buying them is huge advantage versus japanese imports. But, some say that getting the registration papers is some how delayed? That some papers are left to uk and send later ? Is this true and why if? And how about the insurance, anyone has info about that? We have totally different insurance and registration system here in finland and I must say that I am bit confused about your different license plates and all :) My turbo altezza is leaving japan soon, but I am still after a cheap manual mk4 twinturbo supra and getting one from uk would be easyer and much much faster!
  9. It´s just that I am not sure wich model this one is :D Well I will found it out later when I get it in my hands.
  10. This is what vin decoder says, still wondering the version: Market Japan Year 03/1999 Make TOYOTA Model ALTEZZA / ALTEZZA GITA Frame SXE10 Vehicle characteristics DESTINATION: JPN: JAPAN BODY: SED: SEDAN ENGINE: 3SGE: 2000CC 16-VALVE DOHC EFI TRANSMISSION: ATM: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION COLOR CODE: 040 TRIM CODE: FA20 Search Results VIN* Model code From To Frame Characteristics 10988028.. 11. OK, one more. Is it possible to tell from these pictures wich edition this is? rs200/z/a?
  12. Rs200 models have what is called E-shift, a "manual" shifting buttons in steering wheel. I have noticed that this is quite rare equipment and availtable in eu only in is300 models. I hope this is what streermatic means in my papers. I hope I have lsd on mine, pretty strange if there is not. I will receive paper for the car within a week or two so I can check the vin and other options thou it has auto AC wich is the most important for me. What do you think this kind of modified rs200 would be worth in the UK? Driven only 93k km. The turbo-kit seems to cost almost the same as stock car and this is one reason I bought this one. And still I took a huge risk of ending up with a car that cant be registered ever here, the road law´s in Finland are really awful from modifiers side :)
  13. Couple of more questions about the altezza; -Any estimates how fast it can make 0-100km/h? -What kind of brakes these rs-models have? -What do you think are the weakest parts of this kind of aftermarket turbo altezza? Gearbox? clutch? engine? -How much this rs-model differens compering to is200 ? -Is there any reasonable priced webstores in Uk you can recomend? I just bought a box of parts to my porche 986 from uk and they were almost half the price comparing to local sellers :) Thank you!
  14. It´s just clumsy translate from Japan to english so it might be normally called to something else. I dont have any pics on this laptop, I can upload a pic tomorrow from another computer.
  15. Thank you for the welcomes! Can anyone confirm that steermatic thing, is it pedal gearbox or have I understanded it wrong? :)
  16. Hi everybody! I just bought tonight my first lexus or actually it´s toyota altezza rs200, but anyway. It is still in Japan and I should receive more pictures soon, now I only have the auction photos. It should arrive in a month or two to Finland, cant wait to see how it runs! This was my third car from the Japanese auctions, the first two were nissan pulsar gti-r and r32 gtr skyline (600hp+). Like the first two, this is not stock one either. Here is a short list of modifications I know this far, this is quickly traslated from the aution sheet by my auction agent. Is the steermatic pedal-kind-of shifting or not? Like the traslation says it has full Trust Turbo-kit installed and in the sheet the was a note that it makes 280ps. This is all I know about the car :D Please comment and if you can translate japanese and get more out of the auction sheet, please tell. *3S turbo *Steermatic *Trust turbine kits *stainless exhaust manifold *front pipe for turbo *Tom's 280T straight exhaust pipe *After market meter *CPU was adjusted for this car *After market suspension, brake pad *After market 18inch alloy wheels *HID *TRD aero bumper And here are the auction photos:
  17. So you have Lhd light´s and you need rhd ones? I just bought tonight a altezza rs ´99 with awesome looking HID headlights from Japan but I need to change the lights to E-certified LHD ones? The car should be here in an bit over month, intrested to change? :D
